Tri-Cord Homes, Inc. must be the WORST HOME BUILDER in central VIRGINIA.

We purchased our new townhouse in the Coventry Creek Subdivision from Tri-Cord Homes, Inc. on November 16, 2001. Only two days after moving in we called the builder with major plumbing problems in our Master Bathroom, as well as the dryer not heating. Their only answer was You have to wait until your 30 day walk-thru for us to address any complaints, and as for the dryer You have to call G.E., it's not our problem at this point.

Nonetheless, a week later the bathroom flooded. After calling the builder they told us you should have not been using it. What kind of solution is that? So I guess they were telling me that regardless of the house being new, if you have a problem in your first two days you are supposed to wait until it is convenient for them to get back out there. After calling G.E. and waiting for two and a half weeks to arrive (having to take a day off of work) to be told that the laundry room that they have the washer and dryer in, the space is to small and the ventilation should have never been installed that way!

Nevertheless, now five months later, the plumbing problems still remain. Now it has also begun in the second bathroom. The sink and dishwasher leak also! This was brought to their attention after the first month we lived there they sent out a repairman, only to say that there was nothing leaking. Obviously he was wrong because the entire bottom of our sink cabinet is wet and starting to deteriorate. The linoleum in the kitchen is cracking also. After contacting the builder today, the reps. only answer was you should have called sooner as she chuckled!

The Superintendent of this Townhouse development stated to one of my neighbors while she was making complaints Hey lady, it's only a townhouse, what do you expect. I would consider that a poor choice of words for a company representative to use to someone that just purchased a NEW HOME!

The drywall in this house has RIPPLES IN IT EVERYWHERE (now it is painfully obvious since we painted with colored paint of good quality, not builder grade)!

ONE HUNDRED AND SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS LATER WE ARE VERY DISSATISFIED!
