On December 24, 2008 I received an e-mail message for a free sample of Tri Slim. All I was required to do was pay the shipping charges of $4.95. About 2 weeks later (Jan 3, 2009) I received a package with the diet supplement Tri Slim. The terms and conditions policy states that you have 15 days to cancel. Since 10 days had already passed, and I had no idea if the product was worth the effort, so I called and canceled.

Much to my surprise I received a 3 month supply (3 bottles of Tri Slim) on January 5, 2009. I immediately checked my bank account and discovered that Tri Slim had charged my bank card $149.95 plus $15.95 for shipping and handling. I called their toll free number (1-877-238-2124) to inform them that I was no longer an active customer and demanded a full refund. The agent processing my cancellation request informed me that I could cancel my membership and keep the supplement for $75.00 and he would refund the remaining $74.95. To which I informed him that I was not interested in his product and I was requesting a full refund.

Unfortunately, Tri Slim has a policy that requires a 10% restocking fee, and I was out the $15.95 for shipping and handling. I received a refund to my bank card of $134.86 on January 13, 2009, but I'm still out $15.95 for shipping and handling and the $15.09 (10% restocking fee) for a total of $31.04.

Now the scam continues. On my last bank statement I discovered that Tri Slim has also charged me $29.95 for an E-book that I did not order and I was also automatically enrolled in something called Fit Factory for a monthly charge of $19.95. Both of which I did not order, but was informed that I'm automatically enrolled under their program.

I have telephoned both sub-companies and asked to have my name removed from their files. In addition I requested a full refund, however I have yet to see any refund appear in my bank statement.
