Tri-Steel, California Steel Frame Homes, Inc., Specialty Homes, Robert Iversen, Al Parker, William Matthews, & Marion Baumgartner defrauded me of a deposit of $13,321.50 on a home I chose. I found that they had defrauded others & I asked for a refund and they begin 2 avoid my calls, emails & letters. Nationwide
We negotiated a cost of a steel frame home with Mr. Robert Iversen, William Matthews, and Al Parker. Robert Iversen negotiated the required deposit. On 11-05-07 a check in the amount of $13,213.50 was forwarded via certified mail. A check for $108.00 was mailed prior to that with the understanding that they would provide the plans in 2-3 weeks. However, their reps started to avoid my calls or either gave me some ridiculous excuses as to why they had not provided the plans.
After complaining to several BBB's in the state of Louisiana, Texas, and California proved to be futile. California BBB forwarded me a letter stating that in their opinion Mr. Iversen's rebuttal was a good faith effort in refuting my complaint. He also threatened me stating that I had falsely accused his company of defrauding me. However, since he was the main negotiator, and continued to harrass me for the deposit with numerous telephone calls until I forwarded the deposit.
Now, how is this a good faith effort? All he did was dispute the accusation made against him; and how is that bringing resolution to taking my money and not returning it. I feel that these individuals should be prosecuted as well as forced to make restitution to each and every person that they have defrauded. It seems that they follow disasters to defraud people out of their money leaving those people at a major disadvantage.
