Tri-Steel Homes contacted Barrie Maher who told me to send in the entire amount to saver $12K off the Carolina Duplex. She indicated they could ship it whenever I wanted them to. I paid $30,750 on 17 Nov 2006. I paid $30,750 for a Carolina Duplex and the company departed on me. I never received the dream house, only the blueprints. Barrie Maher did not deliver on the promise she made. Denton Texas
I received an email from Barrie Maher on 14 Nov 2006. She asked if there was anything she could do for me. I had spoke with her last month telephonically about purchasing a Tri-steel home. I called her again after receiving her email and purchased a Carolina Duplex that was on sale.
The original price was $42,136 and I was getting it for $30,750, if I purchase it in full right away. I informed her that I would not be ready to receive it until the Summer of 2007. I purchased it on 17 Nov 2006 through wire transfer. She acknowledge receipt of the funds at 5:00 PM on 17 Nov 2006 on an email.
I called them repeatedly and emailed them to try and make arrangements for the house to be shipped. I finally got through and talked to a man that said the home was ready and sitting in the yard. He had another man send me blueprints on the home. I received the blue prints and made arrangements to have it delivered in Georgia.
I tried to contact them to ship the house and could not get an answer or a response via email to Barrie Maher. I had the Better Business Bureau (BBB) try in contact them and they did not get a response through mail, email, or phone.
Today I googled the company and saw the Rip-Offs and I called into Investigator Chandler 940-559-5000, who referred me to FBI Special Agent Chris Day at 972-559-5000, who is handling this criminal case.
