Tribute Mastercard (First Bank of Delaware, Paul Frenkiel, CFO) sent me a note saying I was over my credit limit on my credit card and because of this they were closing my account and it could no longer be used. They reported negative info to credit reporting agencies causing my FICO score to go down. They also charged me a huge fee for the over credit, in addition to charging me $150 annual fee to have the card in the first place. I am sick to death of banks screwing the consumers just because they can get away with it. I'll be sending the Federal Trade Commission a letter every day asking they do a complete investigation into this company that reported 118% increase in year-to-date earnings in 2007. I can certainly see why they were able to do this. I was always very careful about my charges and always called the 800 number before I charged anything so that I wouldn't go over my limit. I think this info that I was over my limit is a bald-face lie, just another ploy to screw the consumer and get more money for themselves. I have a similar credit card with Credit One, and when I am over my limit, the card simply will not accept the charge. Why can't Tribute Mastercard have done this? Simple: to get more money from the consumers
