Well first of all I have had issues with this company since I first started. I would send them a payment, and they would post it LATE, in order to charge the late fees repeatedly. I called to complain, and they said it wasn't their problem, it was the US MAIL fault. I KNOW the mail doesn't take 3-4 weeks to deliver a standard letter repeatedly.

Now my biggest complaint, is of what I am submitting this over, is I sent them $135 money order. They posted the payment as $15. I called to have them fix it, and they told me I was being dishonest with them. I got really irate, so I sent them a copy of the original money order to fix it. I called back, because they still did not fix it.

It is now 6 weeks later, and they still have not fixed it, and have had the nerve to charge me LATE FEES for two months. (30 dollars a pop)

I am not only reporting them here, but also to the better business bureau. This is ridiculous. They are stealing!!!!

At least I have proof that I did send this payment. You know a lawyer would cost more then what the payment is and I think that is why they get away with doing this to people repeatedly.

Why use a money order?

Mailing a money order seems like a in-efficient way to pay a bill. I believe it needs to be verified for authenticity due to large amounts of fraudulent scams involving counterfeiting.. which could lead to a delay. In the future why not pay the bill with a checking account? That way you have an electronic record in which your bank can fight the good fight for you.

I just received my new tribute card and paid the balance off in full over the phone on 7/28 using my checking account info. The total came to $179. I will keep this blog updated if I experience any problems.

Unfortunately, people with bad credit like me must pay our dues until we can prove ourselves financially responsible again. Tribute Mastercard is taking a big risk in providing an un-secured card to just about anyone.

Bad credit? Living paycheck to paycheck? un-controllable spending? If this sounds like you maybe you need help.

Credit cards from a credit union can be a really good deal. Or how about the bank(s) you use?
