I cashed a $9.25 check that was sent to me from this company. Cashing the check enroled me into the Auto Vantage Gold program. The program included a 30 day free trial, in which time i could cancel for no charge.
3 weeks after cashing the check, I canceled and got a cancelation confirmation. When the 30 days was up, they went ahead and charged my credit card anyways for $139.99. I had to called them to get the charge reversed.
it seems to me that this is standard practice for Trilegiant, to ignore cancelation requests and make unauthorised charges to credit cards. Be carefull when dealing with them. Cash there checks but remember to cancel and wach for unauthorised charges.
