I'm a current employee with "Trinity Roofing" who has their corporate offices in Aurora Co. (14241 E. 4th ave Bldg. 5 aurora co. 80011 and satelite offices in "Mission Ks." and "Council Bluffs" Iowa.

Owners are Jason Starr and Rachelle Starr.

I write this report for several reasons but first and foremost  because myself and 16 employees didn't recieve our pay check last friday and today tuesday continue to recieve daily excuses from the owner Jason Star why we havent been paid such as "our accounting department didnt get the payroll and were doing an internal audit so your checks will arrive in a few days. The sad thing is that were earning but $150.00 to $200.00 per week walking the streets knocking on doors just trying to keep our rent paid and our kids fed.  Its hardly that we make alot of money.

Myself and many many other employees transfered temporairly up to Kansas and Iowa offices to help run these 2 new offices with pay programs, bonuses, spiffs, and numerous promises.  The sacrifice of leaving family behind along with friends has been a nightmare at best.

We knock on homeowners doors to generate business for the owner who will make thousands of dollars from our efforts and we dont get paid?

Last month the owner Jason Starr came out to our operations as we had over 35 homeowners who had turned over their first insurance check and 2-3 months later still didnt have their materials delivered much less the roof put on.

We expected that he would solve customer complaints, and set the office right.  The first meeting he held was filled with high fives, praise, and promises how he was going to set things right and we would always be paid and treated with respect.  THIS IS WHAT WE GOT:

Within the first week he took several key employees to the strip club and spent many hundreads of dollars and bragged to everyone about his lap dances and the good time he had.  Even bragging how thank god he didnt get pulled over as he was quite drunk.  (in his nice new B.M.W.)

Then we were to find out through the grape vine that his credit lines were frozen and he could only afford to put but a few customers roofs on at a time.

Last week we came in to get paid and were told that our checks were not there because he had to do an internal audit on payroll first along with telling others that their payroll they submitted were lost.

Since last friday myself and 16 other employees continue to call the office for our  money and are ignored, and a select few of us are told it will be here "any day now".

While not an inside office employee it was common knowledge that we have over 35 homeowners that are angry and have long ago turned their insurance checks over thinking they will have their roof installed.

The final gift we got was when Crystal Simmons (a long term "Trinity" employee ) told all the staff that even though we were supposed to get a bonus for every homeowner we generated that turned into a sale ($25.00) would not be paid for the last 3 months.

We are 1099 employess however we are made to report to work at specific times, told when work ends, and made to attend meetings.

We will be going to the I.r.s. and  labor board along with the federal business department of labor and wage.

In summation  its sad when an owner drives around in his flashy car, drinking nightly, attending weekly strip clubs, smoking his pot, and living in his gated community condo yet cant put customers roofs on nor pay his employees for the work they generated to make him his money to allow the above lifestyle.

I would hope any homeowner would pull his colorado b.b.b. and not believe just what ive written.  If you do business with this owner or company do so at your own risk.

In additon the same issues occured in Council Bluffs Iowa and they also have over 30 homeowners roofs that need to be put on.  They have pulled all personnel from this office but one.

In order to cut his costs Jason Star even ordered managers to wrongfully terminate employees to simply cut costs and use the excuse of wrong doing or poor perfromance in order to dump salary.  However he would never do the termination but delegated it out to others and then wouldnt answer his phone.

Lastly the sad part of all of this is that "TRINITY' portrays themselves as a "CHRISTIAN" company in order to help with credability and bravado.  The only Christian in this company is the hopes that all the employees are christians and "FORGIVE".  Trinity pitches in their presentation that with each roof installed they make a sizeable donation to the "childrens" miracle network" and even have a glossy picture stating that in their pitch book.  i can assure you that that this will be investigated as when the owner wont even pay an average $150.00 canvaser check for an employee one has to wonder if he takes the proceeds from a roof sale and indeed donates it to the Childrens Miracle Network.

We have been scammed by individuals that worked at Trinity recently. The people involved are the individuals who wrote this report. We have stopped pay for 3 business days to resolve this matter and account for all the loses this group has caused. The credibility of the documented pay by the individuals involved is suspicious and looks to have multiple errors. There are not 16 people unpaid there are only the ones we believe have harmed us. Trinity has always taken care of there staff and clients.

This is slander and defamation of character. I will not use names and lower myself or Trinity to this behavior. We will not treat anyone unfairly or unethically. All pay will be handled this week for the individuals involved if the accounting of there pay is accurate.

We are also A rated with the BBB and have great clients. It is our responsibility to protect communities and terminate anyone who would be involved in fraud.

These allegations will be taken very serious and appropriate actions will be taken.
