I purchased World Nomads travel insurance at the end of April 2017. The claims administrator is TripMate.

Horribly, I had to file a claim for lost/stolen luggage on May 8th and sent in all of my paperwork and direct deposit information to TripMate on May 11th. Since then, I have not gotten any responses to emails for updates other than generic replies, and when I called the customer service number the representative just repeated what I can already see online for my claim. The online claim view is useless, and reads as follows:

Most of my clothes and toiletries were lost in my luggage, and I need to replace my lost items for use while I am traveling. I only had the clothes I was wearing when my luggage was lost/stolen! The TripMate acknowledgment letter I received stated that my claim can be resolved in as little as 10 days, while Texas law gives up to 15 days for a claim approval or denial. On 5/26, Tripmate attempted to extend this time (21 days) by claiming to need my drivers license in lieu of a trip itinerary.

Tripmate is using blatant stall tactics on my claim, and I only wish I had read all of the hundreds of online complaints before I purchased travel insurance.
