ok where do we start ok we will start with off color breeding, no people theses are not rare colors they are colors that were not supposed to be bred together in the first place they are not worth alot of money they are worth less than correct color dog's don't be fooled. So now that we have you understanding that she recently sold a mixed litter as purebred and that litters pups registrations were cancelled, then there were the 3 or 4 out of one litter who were diagnosed with HOD. This is not the type of breeder you want to buy from you can look at the pics on her site and there are puppies in a poorly constructed fence with wood scraps concrete whatever the heck those thing's are and an old tire as well as a trailer. This is not how dog's or puppies should be kept nor how they should be bred please look for a reputable breeder who has indoor dog's as well as appropriate clean place for the dog's and puppies outside. There should be nothing hazardous in their exercise area and it should be adequate to keep adult and puppies safely inside. Look for sick or injured puppies and ask for actual vet records if they cannot provide that they should provide a vet reference proving they have been vet checked and the breeder does know how and when to vaccinate. Also look at the mother and father if a stud was used ask for current pics height and weight. This breeder does not have a good track record if I was you look further there are better breeders out there

This whole situation was influced and aggravated by people who were not trisha wescom and she has been the one who has paid for it. I have been responding to a person who does not know me and has contradicted herself. I had one of the puppies who had HOD, he has recovered for the most part and was a good dog, an outside situation between me and another lady fueled this fire and put trisha is a comprimised situation contract wise. No one can prove or disprove why ack decided to pull papers on the litter parentage not breed can be determined by DNA and nothing else, Akc cannot tell you definatly if your dog is or is not a pure bred and they admit that. Nor could my vet explain the HOD cases as a matter of fact no one could explain much about hod at all a frustrating situation for her and me she did offer to replace the puppy but due to the situation between me and the stud owner could not as the stud owner did have some say so and was not happy about some things I had said to her, So I apologize to trisha, loco was a great dog minus his medical issues which she could not control as no other litter had these problems and she had no control over her friend who has kept all this going. Several lies have been told by her friend and she will be addressed.

About the mixbreed puppies in the April 09 litter. Ummmm i think if you would look at new pix and puppy pix that is on her site you can SEE that they are not purebreed danes! If you cant then you must not know anything about the breed of " Great Danes" I have never seen a purebred dane look like a lab!!
About the littler the with 3 or more puppies that have the HOD in this litter, if you look at the puppy pix in this litter you can see they are NOT healthy puppies! NOT a one of them look healthy!!

I have a puppy from Trisha and yes my pup is an off color dane. I knew that when I emailed her about my girl. It's not her fault if you bought the dane pup and then changed your mind later on. You knew the dogs was an off color so why did you buy one if you was looking for a show pup? I've been to her house and there is nothing wrong with the fence she has. You don't have to have a $10,000 fence to have healthy and safe animals. All of Danes are in great health and are very much happy and loved! HOD - is caused by several things it is not proven on one thing. Poor diet, too much calcium, reaction to shots. If your puppy has hod maybe its something you did wrong and not her. My puppy is healthy with no problems at all! Mixed litter - you have got to be kidding me! There is a lot purebred Danes out there that when they are a few weeks old, they don't look like 100% Danes. You need to get facts before you bad mouth anybody. I would recommend this breeder to anyone!

as i commented on one of the other posts, i have always been treated fairly by this breeder. she's always forthcoming and helpful. she seems knowledgable as well. any litter can throw colors that are not acceptable, this is why one should research the breed if they want "show" colors. some of us enjoy the behavioral tendencies of these amazing animals, aren't planning to breed, and are just looking for a healthy, registered dane to love. just looking at their pics you can see the dogs are healthy looking and happy. everyone's yard has some areas not aesthetically pleasing, especially in springtime. i suggest if you have any questions, all you have to do is ask before you embark on defamation.
