Tristar Products consumer rip-off fraud Wallingford Connecticut
My husband ordered me a Handy Stitch from another company in December. We never received it, and on our next credit card bill, not only were we charged for the Handy Stitch at $19.95, but ALSO a 'SEW SMART' at $49.95!
We never ordered the Sew Smart, and when contacted, the company said it had been ordered AND shipped!
We were refunded our money thru the credit card company on the Handy Stitch; they told us to send a letter of complaint to the Tristar Products company to receive a refund, which we did on Feb. 17, 2003. We're still waiting for a reply! I also was given a FAX number, but did not get a reply there.
Are we stuck with this bill?

It took me two tries, but Tri Star did come through. After my initial letter, and no response, I found the Ripoff Report website. A letter here had an address different from the one I was originally given. I sent another letter, and Tri Star did credit me on my credit card. Just wanted to let you know. The refund came from this address: TriStar Products, P.O. Box 5018, Wallingford, CT 06494. They also included a phone# for the Customer Service Dept - 1-800-558-0420 Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 8:00pm, EST.
