I ordered Pasta Pot in Dec. 2002.

I received post card saying order was backordered...and I could cancel order. So I sent post card back cancelling order.

I received Pasta Pot a week later. I opened up package...and there was only 1 pot in the pkg. So I called company and said I did not receive the whole order...did not want the 1 pot with backordered pot....was cancelling order....

Tristar...sent me a form letter telling me to return it and my money would be credited back to my acct.

I followed the directions...returning pkg in original state...

When they credited my acct...it was 8.57 short.....

Tristar says because I opened the package, I had to pay shipping and handeling charges...this is unfair....if the product came to me as ordered...full order...I would have kept it...but not wanting a backordered item....I returned it.

It is a ripoff...that they charge shipping and handeling...when you return there card...saying you do not want a backordered item.

Also...when I receive anything in the mail...I check to see if it is intact, complete, and undamaged....they claim because I opened the package...I have to pay the shipping and handeling.

They must be rich....with practices as this.

Please do not purchase from this company....by the way....the pot is still backordered....ordered in Dec...2002...this is June
