Tristar Products ripoff fraudulent ripoff business Wallingford Connecticut
In November 2002, I ordered 5 sets of the Pasta Pot Express for Christmas gifts, believing they would be here in time for Christmas, since the tv ad stated 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. They weren't here in time. When I still didn't have them by the middle of January I called and was told that they wouldn't be here till the end of February, due to such an on slaught of orders. When I didn't receive them by the beginning of March I phoned again and was told they were shipped. Within a week, I had one pot. Not the set as ordered.
I again called and they said to call Customer Assistance, which I did. That person told me to send the pot back, and when I received the other 4 I was to refuse them, which I did. I was also told my account would be credited with the $117 that was taken out for payment, as soon as they received all the pots back.
Within a month I was sent another single pot, that I didn't order. I have contacted the customer service department, again, and was told they would have to check into it, that I was credited for four of the pots, which my bank says otherwise, and was not charged for this last pot that was sent which to me is a lot of bull. They told me it would take several days to get the numbers they needed to clear this matter up, and they would be calling me.
I then told them that I wanted it done today not days from now, as it is now the end of July and the money was to be credited in January or February. The customer service representative hung up on me and when I called back I was put on hold (again) (I'm paying for the call) and then given the supervisor's answering machine, where I left a message to be called back, today. Fat chance that will happen. We can't let this company steal our hard earned money. Something must be done.
