Tristar Products, TRI* ripoff, did not send what order, over-charged, never called back ripoff abused & mistreated ripoff business from hell Wallingford Connecticut
I orderd a sewing machine for 14.99 in the TV Ad about 3 months ago (January or so). I received the Machine in March. I was told they would send me the Mini-Sewer and another which has a footpedal. I received the Footpedal sewer and I was charged $65.00. I disputed the charge, and my credit card company cannot do anything about it. I have no clue what to do but contact the BBB (better business beaure) and file a report.

Century warranty services company claims to have a reputable business. Yet they rip off their paying clients by not paying for services that they say you are covered for. You try to cancel the policy and the give you the run around about it. Then they take their sweet time in refunding a "prorated" amount. That is they take $200.00 off the top for the service they provided although they have given no assistance whatsoever. The company never returns calls that they promise to. Their business ethics are tainted and they are out to get your money and keep it as long as they can. BE WARNED!!! Do not allow them to get you.

This is a standard gimmick: they promise a shipping date beyond the 60 days, charge your Card immediately, then make you wait until it's too late for your Credit Card Company

When you ask their "customer service" for information on Tristar Corporate or their Website, they will refuse to give it to you, however here is their WebSite URL (which I just checked and it is still active):
http://tristarproductsinc.com/
That site gives a physical address, and Email Addresses, and Phone Numbers to contact them, you will have to click on the Links and search around their Site to find the Pages with the info (beware, Tristar has changed their Physical Address, but mail is still being forwarded to them as of this date).
The reason your Credit Card Company says they can do nothing, is because Banks and Credit Card Companies have a 60 day limit in which they can do something. I would suggest that when the Company you are dealing with gives a ship date of over 60 days, refuse it and do not order from them, or if you still want to order, tell them that you will not accept a ship date of over 60 days, give it 30 days, then contact your Credit Card Company, or Bank, and have the charges reversed.
This is a standard gimmick: they promise a shipping date beyond the 60 days, charge your Card immediately, then make you wait until it's too late for your Credit Card Company, or Bank, to legally do anything about it.
Good Luck,
