I came online today to see if I could get some information on the company that makes the steam buggy. I bought one years ago it broke within a year of purchasing.

I really liked the job the steam buggy did on my cleaning needs and wanted to see if they are still sold and if there was anything I could do about my broken one.

While searching I found that there had been a recall which I knew nothing about. I called the number listed for the recall and was told that I need to contact HSN because that is where I purchased it from.

Shouldn't I have to contact the company that makes it and not the outlet which sold it? After reading all these reports about Tristar I am really worried about whether or not I will have any luck getting any answers.

Anyone have any suggestions on how and where to start this quest of mine?

No Manufacturer listed only Tristar on paperwork

The sticker on the product doesn't list anyone. Tristar is the only company listed on anything in the box.

Reading these other reports I found a few different people who said Tristar was a big help to them. I am only hoping someone will be able to help me.

Like I said before, no matter what anyone else says about the steam buggy, it worked great for me until it broke.

Thank you for your input on this matter. Any other suggestions on what I can do? Maybe Tristar could at least answer my email and tell me who the manufacturer is if it is not them.

Check for a label on the product

Look for a label somewhere on the product. It should list model number, serial number, manufacturing date, voltage ratings and any application industrial standards it was tested for (UL, CE, etc). It should also have a manufacturers name. That is the company that needs to be contacted.

Tristar is a fulfillment warehouse. They handle hundreds of diffent products from different manufacturers. They handle orders for several shopping channels as well as late night infomercials.

I hope you get the information you need. Tristar would be a waste of your time.

When it comes to lawsuits, everbody and their brothers gets named to make sure evry possibility is covered.

What manufacturer? Isn't Tristar the manufacturer? I found new email address.

If Tristar is not responsible for the steam buggy, who is? The paperwork that came with the product says Tristar. It even states on their limited warranty that you are to mail the product to Tristar and THEY will either replace or repair the unit.

So you tell me who the manufacturer is. If all Tristar does is package and ship the products why are they named in the lawsuit about the ab thing?

I am not acusing tristar of anything except not being able to reach them. I loved my steam buggy and would want another one. I am just trying to reach them with some questions.

I found another email address in my search of the web. On some recall information it says the email address is help@productsontv.tv. I forwarded the original email I sent to the email addresses I found on this website to this new one but have not heard anything back yet.

Why Trisatr? They are a fulfillment service

I don't know why they keep refering you to Tristar. They are a fulfillment service that handles hundreds of different products for packaging and shippment only. They just pull it off the shelf, box it and ship it. They don't sell or make anything.

You should have to contact the manufacturer.

Don't waste you time contacting Tristar. You'll get no information other than shipping info from them.

No luck contacting Tristar

Armed with all the info I read in other reports about Tristar on this site I attempted to email the company at the following 3 email addresses:

info@tristarproductsinc.com
gwenj@tristarproductsinc.com
alfredac@tristarproductsinc.com

I immediately got a delivery failure notification email saying that my email did not get through to any of the 3 email addresses.

I am hoping that somebody out there has newer contact info for me.
