Complaint Review: Tru Talent Management Agency

Tru Talent used to be known as Soleil. They had to change their name when the news did a special report on how they are scammers. They just changed their name, and stayed at the same location and kept scamming naive wannabe actors and actresses.

People need to be smart and not pay agencies for photos and classes. Agents are supposed to be there to book auditions and handle contracts--not charge you for classes. If they offer inhouse classes or photos then it's usually a scam. If you need photos or coaching then go to an outside professional. If an agency tries to talk you into only taking their classes or using their photographer then they are a SCAM!! be careful.

Tru Talent has done this to hundreds of actors: they talk you into taking expensive classes and portfolio pictures, but they rarely book work for their "talent"--they just scam them for money. Find a real agency, and stay away from this one. A real agency doesn't push in house acting classes and in house photography that they keep the majority of the money from. If anything they'll give you a list of many professionals references that they have found to be professional, but they should not be personally getting a cut from their actors taking classes and getting photos. Tru talent makes their money off of classes and portfolios--that's not how real agencies do it. Real agencies make money by booking their talent and getting a 10% commission.
