Tru Talent Management BIG TIME SCAM Salt Lake City Utah
The only "Tru Talent" that this "agency" could possible pass on to the young, trusting and niave is how to scam people. They prey on the young.
Only the very young, trusting and totally unworldly would believe that a "talent agent" would walk up to them in a Target Store (In the case I know personally know about, "them" was one fairly tall average sized and average looking young teen and one short and fairly heavy average looking teen) and tell then that they were a "natural" for model and acting.
First off all, how would this "agent" know that they were acting material and what exactly is his definition of a modeling "natural".
Secondly, a reputable agency earns money "for" their clients and doesn't fleece you as this "agency" does. A couple thousand plus for "acting and modeling" lessons that "naturals" do not need since they were apparently already perfect enough for him to make a snap decision.
Third, $40. per picture for 15 god-awful pictures that were supposed to be posted on a "web site" that never materialized (which,by the way, included the not too classic measurements of one of the girls who was 17) is a classic ripoff.
Stay clear, beware. This is "agency" shady at best and completely illegal at worst. Law suits are being filed in the state of Utah.

And the slew of other submissions here against the company?
It seems like the issues with this outfit were much more systemic than just the people who happened to be working there when you were there.

Previously I had been employed by Tru Talent Management and said some stupid things is the summer of last year (July 2009) Looking back I realize that my problems did not lie in the Company which is fully sustaining and reputably legitimate; My issues were a result of my own selfishness and frustrations with others.
Tru Talent Management is a valid and quality company. Tru Talent gives you the tools you need to succeed and to move forward in all aspects of life. Whether you just want to gain some life experience or make all the way; they give you every tool to succeed.
I remember once when I was out scouting I spoke to a kid who told me that his life was helpless and he felt so alone, he told me he had tried to kill himself several times and the only thing that stopped him from wanting to die right that moment was the fact that I thought he had something to offer.
He went on to land several extra roles as well as lead roles in film's he never would have heard of had I not spoken to him and encouraged him to give it a try.
I retract my previous statements about The Company. It was not Tru Talent that was the problem; rather it was the people who are now gone from the company and moved on to ruin other peoples lives.

I am an ex employee of tru talent, I worked there for close to a year as the SCOUTING DIRECTOR. I was screwed out of my pay many times by the owner Brandie Fromelt as well as CFO Carrie Thayne. My employees were constantly in fear because our job was to attain names, and numbers however we could. Our jobs were always on the line and the company constantly threatened our jobs.
They witheld pay from many of my scouts over the year and I had to fight for them and do all i can, even sometimes paying scouts who got screwed out of my own pocket.
They company will rack it up as "YOUR AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR, WE PAY YOU AS WE SEE FIT" but even when my scouts had issues, I would research them and I would personally call the people who they "Disqualified" and verify their interest or not, many times the people claimed completely opposite of what the company had said, so they would bring people in on our hard work and not have to PAY US!
There are very few employees that stay there more than a year, and if they do its because they care more about money then they do helping others... OR they are sleeping with someone in the office.. SAD.
