My son purchased some add-on parts for his new Chevy Pickup on May 5th, 2004 from TruckAddons. Most of the parts came in a timely manner. One of the parts, however, a bedlocker, was not available from the manufacturer, Pace-Edwards, because it was a fairly new model of the Chevy Pickup (4-door Crew Cab 1500). When he ordered it, TruckAddOns charged my credit card for all the items, including the bedlocker. I thought it was supposed to be illegal for a company to charge your credit card when they could not ship the product to you immediately, or provide the service immediately.

At the end of May, my son called Pace-Edwards, and they told him probably another 3 to 4 weeks. We could see this getting carried out much longer, and my son wanted something to cover his truck bed. So, he called his original salesman at TruckAddOns, Shane Darcy, to ask that the order be cancelled. Shane told him to do it through the website.

My son did this. Word of advice here....don't do something like this because we are discovering there is no paper trail for the consumer's benefit. But, in TruckAddOns case, it is the only way to do it.

After he cancelled the order, I kept monitoring my credit card for a refund. None ever showed up. I constantly called them, each time being sent to "PAT'S" voicemail. Never returned one phone call. I finally asked for the manager "LANCE", got his voicemail....Never a returned call from him. After two weeks, my son called back, getting someone in Internet sales. They told him to do the cancel again, which he did.

Again, nothing happened. No email confirmations, no returned phone voicemails, no credit on my credit card. I started calling again. At this point, it was getting to be the end of July. After we were on vacation for the last week and a half of July, I started again. No progress again.

On August 6th, I walk out to the driveway, and there are two boxes laying in the driveway. The bedlocker had been shipped to us, AFTER the order was cancelled twice. TruckAddOns is saying that they never received any cancellation notifications, nor did they hear from us.

I have asked them to have someone come pick them up, because in three months time we had gone another route on the bed of the truck. They will not send anyone, saying that I have to ship them back, at my expense. And I will be charged a return fee.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE DEAL!!!
