Complaint Review: Trucks Only

On Monday October 22, 2012 I stopped by to see about purchasing a 2006 Chevrolet 2500 Silverado with approximately 96000 miles on the odometer.  I have a 2005 Chevrolet suburban as trade with approximately 189000 on the odometer that was agreed to trade in at a value of $7500.  At the time I was muscled into signing the contract due to personal issues and had to leave the dealership quickly.  There was an oral agreement reached by the sales man Todd Martin and me to remove articles from the 2005 Suburban that would fit onto the Silverado.  I returned on October 23rd with a friend to assist me remove these articles, and replace with all the stock articles I had from the suburban when it was originally purchased in 2005. 

 Upon arrival at Trucks Only I asked Todd if I could remove the wheels and A/V system, Todd replied not the wheels they give it an eyeball effect.  I agreed and my friend and I began to remove and replace the agreed belongings.  I was removing the Carbon Fiber Dash and Justin (my Friend) was removing the A/V components. Todd came back to the vehicle and stated we could not remove The A/V, I replied you told me I could. Todd asked for whatever money was in our pockets and he would look the other way.  I did not give Todd Martin any money however Justin gave Todd about 40 or 50 dollars. Todd left came back and said we could not remove the Visor Monitors but we could remove the headrest monitors because Jamie was upset. 

All the while Todd kept making Innuendos regarding our abilities that we are common thieves and probably run a chop shop.  Aggravated with the comments and insinuations we left. On October 25th I returned to trucks only and met with Todd and asked for the license plate from the 2005 Suburban.  Todd replied youre killing me why dont I just cut the barb wire so you can hop the fence and steal the rest of your stuff too.  I told Todd I did not appreciate his Innuendos and told him to take the plate off.  I ultimately took the plate off and asked about my approval and Todd replied that it has not been approved yet but they were working on it.

 On Monday October 29th 2012 I tried several times throughout the day and left several messages to reach Christopher Sullivan and He never returned my Calls.  Finally about 4:00pm I went to trucks only and spoke with Janet Edler who informed me that Christopher left early so that he could fulfill his season tickets and would not be back that day.  When I arrived home about 5:00pm I received a call from Todd asking me to come in and sign another contract.  My wife did not want to sign anything else, so I went to the dealership and asked for my suburban back and told them I would pay the mileage I have used on the Silverado. Janet Informed me that she could not make that call so she made an appointment for 12:00pm the following day to meet with Christopher.  

At exactly 12:00pm on October 30, 2012 I arrived at Trucks Only and met with Christopher Sullivan, Christopher informed me that I had two options either to sign the new contract or the initial contract will be placed into effect.  I explained that the vehicle only is Blue Booked at $19000 and they are charging me $25000 I also began to explain to Christopher about his dishonest employee Todd Martin and how I was treated, Christopher Told me that has no affect on his business dealing and he was not going to talk about that, and I needed to sign the new contract.  Janet returned and showed me the difference in contracts and explained it was in my best interest to sign.  I explained I would need to talk to my Wife and I left.  I asked if the loan was approved and Janet told me yes through Wells Fargo. 

I left and had my credit report checked at about 3:30pm only to find Trucks Only submitted my information to 6 different financial entities after I left earlier that day.  Knowing that I did not have any approval after calling all the financial institutions listed on my credit report I arrived at Trucks Only at 4:56pm on October 30th, 2012.  Upon Arrival I called for  police assistance in getting the 2005 Suburban back to me.  I spoke with officers and they spoke with Christopher Sullivan. The officer came back with a letter of approval and told me there was nothing they could do.  I asked the officer if I could look at the paper and she informed she could not she stated I had to take it to court.  I went into Trucks Only and asked Christopher Sullivan with whom is the loan approved he replied by saying several.  I asked which one and stated all further conversation needs to be done through his attorney. 

I asked for his attorney and while I am waiting he began to shout you made a mockery of my dealer ship and you going to pay.  I told him to be quiet and give me the attorney information.  Another gentleman asked me why I have the Silverado torn apart and I explained that the components were exchanged from the Silverado to the suburban and I would exchange them back with the original parts that are currently on the Suburban.  Christopher Sullivan began yelling again I live in a gated At which point I cut in you told me not to talk to you quit talking and give me your attorneys name. Christopher told me that I will not like what his attorney has to say and he has going to sue me for everything I have.  He gave me the information of attorney Rob Moore(602)271-7700 of Broening Oberg Woods & Wilson At which point I left the premises.

All I was looking for initially was not to be treated like some thief like Todd Martin was making me out to be, I have no record, I work hard, my wife and I make a six figure income, I have no bills and have no reason to steal.  Although after several unsuccessful attempts to reach Christopher Sullivan on a professional level he only wanted the new contract
signed and did not care for me as customer. He did not heed to his motto Customer Always.  After getting the run around, I revisited the contract and saw what a raw deal I was getting, that is when I decided if I havent been financed yet give me my vehicle back and I will be on my way.  However, now Christopher is making threats throwing out attorneys names when this could have all been very simply and easily resolved.
