There are severe customer service issues at true.com. My son joined true.com for a 7 day free trial at the end of December 2006. When he found charges on his checking account on or about January 15, 2007 he cancelled the service. I also called to cancel the service the same day.

My son is in the Airforce. I take care of his finances in his home state. It turns out that they have charged him for January, February, March and April $54.00 each month.

I called to have it straightend out last week and they proceeded to lie to me and tell me that he was using their service the night before. (They even proceeded to read supposed messages! I immediately told them it was an outright lie). My son's internet provider is the same as mine (same account). He was working that night on the flight line. He can not even carry a cell phone due to fire hazard. I would see him online. They obviously keep no records. They didn't even have record that I called last Thursday.

My Son called them today about why his account wasn't cancelled and they told him that they offered him free time and he forgot to cancel - OUTRIGHT LIE AGAIN! Then they said they couldn't do anything and would not give him a refund for at least February, March and April.

Well, me being a mom called again this evening - I demanded to speak with a supervisor. It is almost impossible to speak with one of their supervisors. I told the customer service representative that I wasn't going to waste my breath or time speaking with him and that I am going to call the BBB, PA State Attorney General, Texas State Attorney General and send letters to their board as well as all officers by certified mail on the problem.

Needless to say, I was given Billy D. a supervisor at true.com. He says he will take care of the problem and he wants my son to call him at 9:00a.m. tommorrow morning. If this is not straightend out satisfactorily, my son will enter into the class action suit that is being formed right now at Tycko & Zavareei, LLP.

They are banking on the fact that people will not be bothered. Please stand up for your rights, sign up for the class action lawsuit. My son could still be witness whether they fix his account problem or not. The U.S. Airforce knows where he was last Thursday night. How dare they lie. I'll let you know what happens.

I am in the same situation as your son. I work for the Navy, but I was taking a MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) Course offered by my base on the day they accused me of resigning up for the site. I have it in writing that I was there without a computer at the time they say I resigned up.

I not only incured a $54.98 monthly charge but I got charged 3 over draft fee's of $20.00 a piece because I wans't expecting these charges. I called and they said that they would refund my money except for the over draft fee's and they won't bill me again.

I don't know how "true" this is because of other peoples stories but I will wish for the best. If you need witnesses or testimony I will testify and I also have clear recording with my dealings with "true." Your son and I don't need the extra stress in our lives.

If you worked on a flight line you would understand that any outside stress or thoughts take you away from the job and cause you injury or death especially on a flight line.

As of this date my son has been unable to call the Supervisor, Billy D., at True.com due to his work situation. All he does is sleep and eat. SURPRISE! The membership was cancelled once on January 15, 2007, again on Thursday April 5th and again on Monday April 9th. They charged his account AGAIN on April 11th!!!!

This company is totally out of control. Needless to say, my son will stay up an additional 2 to 3 hours until he can reach Mr. Billy D., the supervisor at true.com. He works at night. Our servicemen work long hard hours and it is a total sin that they have to put up with the likes of people like this. I'll let you know what transpires. One way or the other the bank will be notified of fraud and a report filed for all three unauthorized months. This nauseates me.

If you read more closely, I said I would see him online. Not I saw him on line. He was working on the flight line with no cell phone or internet access. His position does not allow it. The full context of the report comes into play here. If I can help you with anything else please let me know. Still waiting to hear results from my son. I will keep you informed.

You say your son uses the same internet account as you, and you saw him online the night he supposedly used the service. How do you know he didn't use the service?
