I ordered a free credit report from True Credit on the internet, knowing there was a ten dollar monthly fee that would be charged subsequent to the report. After viewing the report, I called to close account. I was given a confirmation number and thought all was well.

The following month, I received a ten dollar charge on my billing statement from them. Again I called to confirm that I had cancelled. The first time I called, I did not have the confirmation number on me at the time. I was hoping they had a record of it and I could call and verify and everything would be settled. Unfortunately for me, the did not have a record of me calling or my confirmation number on hand. I was given another confirmation number until I could prove that I had cancelled the first time. Had I lost the first one, I would be responsible for the second charge of 10 dollars.

Since then I have called and cancelled- with the first confirmation number, however the next billing cycle is not over yet to verify if all is ok. Judging by their practice I may be updating this report soon...
