I guess this is sort of an update. I visited their website today. It says the Caesar Fund and TSG were now owned by Safeguard Insurance. The Safeguard site is http://www.safeguardinsurance.net

Safeguard Insurance is a small brokerage in Cleveland. I see it also uses the same UPS store mailbox as the former Caesar Fund/TSG used. I wonder how a small brokerage that uses a UPS store is manager of a billion-dollar fund?

I clicked on the product liability subcategory of insurance for more information, you get taken (should end the sentence right there but...) to a site called UTube.

I can't recomend doing business with Val Trubiani but I also can't not recomend it. I guess if you want an insurance policy, it's ok. If you're a company looking for financing, though, I would say it's less hassle for you to look elsewhere.

After trying to get in touch specifically with Bruce Newkirk as an earlier post suggested, and hitting a wall each time, I have come to the conclusion that there is no such person as that who works with TSG, the Caesar Fund or Safeguard.

I had worked with Val on the closing of a few financings. I can't verify or deny that any of what's said in these past posts is true or false. I did hear him reference someone named Bruce Newkirk quite a bit but never did speak to that person, and our last deal together fell apart under what the borrower and the team with which I was working, and I, felt were suspicious and questionable circumstances, which were a little out of character from the Val that I knew. Having said that, I just became aware Mr. Trubiani passed away in November. My condolences to his loved ones. I don't know if Ripoff Report has a policy regarding closing the book on an open file if the subject is deceased, but being that TSG and The Caesar Fund appeared to have been his inventions, I don't think anyone else has any accountability for these entities.
