Complaint Review: Tuffy

My husband and I went to this place and they ripped us off big time. we asked for their well advertised $9.99 oil change for my Toyota Matrix and ended up paying @$50.00 + 1 hour wait + aggresive attitude=Rip off! We even asked the man which I think is the owner because there were pictures of him everywhere if they had put synthetic oil and they smiled and said no just the best GTX. Not only did they charge this much for a simple oil change but they also claim that we signed a paper (which they would not let us see) where we approved this price. The guy was soo rude that he even said that if we would have bought tires from them ($100 a piece) or done the maintenance($650) as they suggested the oil change would have been for free. Then the guy (owner I think) said we should learn to read what we sign.

This was the worst experience I have ever had and I was with my 2-year old daughter. I wonder how many other people they rip off and might not even realize that they are overcharging. I still cannot understand how they can advertise the $9.99 without stating that it is only for certain cars and get away with charging so much more wihtout the individual's permission. I would tell anyone who plans on using this place to forget it, it will be a nightmare!!! I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and they are looking into my complaint. I told the owner(I think) of Tuffy that what they were doing was unfair and all he did was smile in my face.
