Complaint Review: Tunc Kiral

Tunc KIRAL was introduced to me by some friends upon his arrival to Illinois, referred to as an honest person trying to make a living in the US. He befriended himself and asked me to help him set up a business importing ceramic tiles from Turkey to the US. He claimed that he knew the ceramic tile factory owner and could get a great export price. I did my due diligence about the project and decided to help him out. Started a partnership with this fellow to formalize the project.

Since I had my own business I delegated the tile business to him. Tunc went to Florida to find a buyer/contractor for the tiles we were going to import here. He found a company in Miami which decided to purchase four containers worth of floor tiles. They also claimed they would agree to sell and distribute more tiles after the first shipments. The buyer provided a purchase order and a bank guaranty for the payment upon delivery. I ordered four containers worth of tiles totalling about $60,000 paid by a Letter of Credit as agreed by the buyer in Florida. The tiles arrived in Florida and upon inspection by the buyer, the LC was paid to the tile factory and the tiles released to the buyer in Miami.

Tunc went to Miami to help the buyer and also collect the payment from the buyer. After going to Florida Tunc told us that he would stay there and work with the buyer to expand the tile business. The buyer had asked for 30 days payment terms after the receipt of the tiles, the 30 days passed and since Tunc was there in Miami I asked him to expedite the payment. Another 30 days passed and still no payment, without wasting more time I flew to Miami to confront the buyer and also Tunc who was not helping solve this matter. Upon arrival in Miami I was told that I would get paid in few weeks.  

A few weeks passed and when I called the buyer I was told that Tunc had left Miami. The buyer told me that Tunc had borrowed against the value of the tiles and skipped town after spending a week to visit Orlando and few other places in Florida.

These are the facts. I hired a lawyer in Florida to go after the Buyer and Tunc. The Buyer filed bankruptcy and Tunc skipped the country and went back to Turkey. Instead of getting back what their owed me, which was over $60,000 I wound up paying a good chunk of money to the lawyers in Florida. In conclusion, Tunc Kiral is a fraud, a crook and an embezzler, he had planned since the very beginning to embezzle the money we were going to get from the sale of the tiles and it was all very well planned. I have been defrauded by this Turk who i simply wanted to help get a decent start in the US.

He now runs a rental and shuttle business in Istanbul, Turkey called Blue Shuttle service. Please stay as far as possible from this character, he is a liar, a cheat, a fraud and not worth the skin he is in. And I hope that he and his family will never be allowed to enter the United States ever again.
