I've never written a rip off report before so this would be my first. It takes alot for me to take my precious time and effort to sit down and write things up like this. So here's the story. I drive a car like everyone else and of course, over time, car parts starts to wear out and needs replacing. Mine is no different. I knew my spark plugs was having issues and since I bought the car used, and never got a chance to really inspect it, I thought I would give this place a try. It was out of supporting a friend's friend(owner). So anyway, long story short, I sent my car to their shop, took them about 4days before checking my spark plugs.

Finally when they did, they called me and sent me pictures. Apparently, the people who replaced my spark plugs prior to going to this shop, used the wrong plugs. They were not fitted correctly and caused the engine to run too rich. So they said they will replace them with the right plugs while making fun of whoever used the wrong plugs in the first place. So, I knew spark plugs aren't the cheapest things but oil change and spark plugs change cost me over $200. Go figure. Oh, also, it took them over a week to get these things done. If you know cars, you should know this is ridiculous.

Fast forward. A while ago, my car has been throwing off a code. Took it to Autozone, seems like car is running too rich. I do have aftermarket intake and thought it might be an intake leak. After checking all the clamps, cleaning the MAF sensor and air filter, it didn't work. So I took it to a car shop in Round Rock and get it checked. The shop called me back in about an hour and said this, "Did you ever change your spark plugs?". I said "Yeah, I got a shop to change the spark plugs a few months back because someone put in the wrong ones". Guy said, "Well okay, whoever changed your spark plugs used the wrong plugs. They are too small for the slot and leaving a gap and there is a leak. As a matter of fact, one of the spark plugs electrode broke off because the spark plugs was placed too deep into the socket. Hopefully it did not damage your engines in anyway".

At this point, you guys have no idea how worried I was. Thankfully, they found some way to get the small debris out of the engine and hopefully no damage was caused. Took them less than 2days to do all this. Seriously, TunerReady charged me so much for spark plugs and labor, made fun of whoever used the wrong plugs in the first place then did the same thing to me. Maybe they didn't do anything at all, who knows. For those reading this possibly confused thinking spark plugs are spark plugs, I have a rotary engine. It use leading and trailing spark plugs. So yes, there are different spark plugs and different sockets on my engine.

Anyway, my fiance knows the owner's girlfriend, Kristen. Fiance said she wouldn't go to that shop with her car if it wasn't because of Kristen. So, Fiance's car had overheating issues. She had her radiator replaced by Sears before which she was probably cheated on because they charged her $800 to replace an OEM radiator that cost a little over $150. So anyway, let's just summarize this. Car overheated, brought to TunerReady(TR), took them 2days to tell her that the cooling hoses are old and possibly leaking. Parts were changed, money was paid, car overheated again, brought it in to TR.

Took 2days, by the way, of my fiance constantly calling them to check on the car because otherwise, it would probably take much longer. They said, there is something wrong with radiator. Fiance believed, parts were changed, took a few days, money was paid. Car overheated again pretty soon. Guess what, fiance took it back, took them a few days, then replied with, "your car head gasket needs replacement, battery needs replacement and some other stuff". Fiance had to get rentals, waited almost a week, car was fixed, charged her $1900+ for everything, paid a few hundred for car rental. Happy driving right? NOT.

Few months later, on her way to work, engine overheated, she turned on heater, did not help. She parked her car in some parking lot, called me and told me what was going on. I told her, call your grandpa or your mom or a family member who can recommend you a real shop. Seriously, all that time, money and stress just isn't freaking worth it. I don't care if you are a good friend of the owner's girlfriend because that status isn't going to fix your problem. She cried the whole time she was on the phone because she is so stressed and tired of the car giving her problems, draining her time, energy and money. She had the car tolled to another shop in Temple.

Next day, they called and said, "Seems like you have a few major problems. Head gasket is gone, melted, whatever. We found sealant in your cooling system, did you know of this? Did you have your car's cooling system parts replaced?". Well yes I said, coolant hoses and radiator has been replaced. Shop, "some shops use sealants on hoses and radiator but they usually asked for the car owner's permission". I said, nobody told us anything. Nobody asked us for any permission. Shop, "well, it seems like the amount of sealant found in the cooling system might have caused the coolant to circulate correctly, or  maybe the hoses were clogged/not done right, whatever it may be, your engine is badly damaged."

I asked them if it's possible to fix, the shop said my option is to replace the engine as a whole. So, the car that was worth $6000 trade in is now a pile of junk. My fiance called the shop, called Kristen and all her calls were never replied or ignored. I told her to just give it up. If a friend can show you his/her true nature when you are in your darkest hours(because of his/her doing), it is a small price to pay. So I just want to say, thank you Tuner Ready. The amount of stress, the amount of money we lost, the amount of time wasted, the psycological pain you guys have induced is more than anything I can ever ask.

Like, I hope anyone can be successful with their business but in your case, if you guys are causing others pain and grief in order to make a living, please, do the community a favor, either change your way of doing business for the better or just don't do it at all. Your previous co-workers, at least 2 whom I know already became victims to you guys, think hard and you might realize why they would never go to your shop after going there once. Think of what you guys are doing wrong.

So anyway, typing this being as calm as I can. To be FAIR to these guys. They did started out as a Nissan 240 enthusiasts. So if you have a 240 and want some modifications done, I have seen their work, they "may" be able to get the job done the way you want. They may know what they are doing with 240s, maybe. HOWEVER, with the amount of negative things my fiance and I had to go through because of their inexperience in getting the job done 'CORRECTLY', it is up to you if you want to give the a shot.

PS. Have all receipts/transactions documents from this shop. Can prove that we have gotten our work done at this shop and spent, well in this case, wasted alot of money.
