Bosch VP44 pump that I payed $1400.00 was not properly remanufactured, It failed driving to work, no apparent reason. After days of troubleshooting discovered that the electronics for timing and pump function had failed. Tupelo Diesel did not replace electronics, but reprogrammed the already faulty pump. Failed at 5000 miles, with a 100 gph lift pump, that works perfect. This failure has cost me thousands of dollars, and MUCH misery. It is still out of service for 2 weeks, since I cannot get enough time to repair.  I bought a completely rebuilt pump to replace, for $950.00 3 years later. Truck had 5000 miles, I only use it when I need a truck. It is completely stock.
