I having reported many, many people in and around the Village of Tupper Lake have seen almost everything. I never thought that I would be online reporting that their is a few young idiots on the local police force that think they are saving the world by giving out traffic tickets to people and harrassing them when all they are doing is driving around the village because that is really the highlight of Tupper lake these days.

Anyway to get back to my issue, I was riding around with my disabled father who is 70 years old, who has many issues including very weak kidneys and when he has to go to the bathroom he has to go within a minute or so or else!!! We were heading for a ride up the boulevard when he pulled to the back of Save-a Lot grocery store well after hours, and while it was dark.

He then relieved himself and we continued on our way for a ride and when we pulled out by the side of Wisebuys at the opposite side of Save-A Lot I looked to see if my friend was still working at the Save a lot store and I noticed a police car sitting there waiting for someone.

Well the minute we pulled out and turned right to head down the boulevard near the abandoned plastic factory(OWD) my father signaled and the police cruiser which was about 1000 feet away facing the opposite way presumed to come towards us and hit the cherries(lightbar). He claimed he was stopping us because my father hadn't signaled right when he pulled out by the OWD, now how the hell did Roscoe P. Bolster Coltrane see whether my dad signaled from that distance that far away when my dads vehicle was facing the opposite side where he could see? I will tell you, he couldn't but he needed an excuse to pull my dad over to see why we were in back of the store. We explained the situation to him and he then issued my dad a ticket for improper signal.

During our annual Beards Harley Run the NY State troopers pulled a stunt also by setting up a roadblock and nailing about 101 bikers for bullshit traffic tickets.

The Tupper Lake Police Department is nothing more than traffic cops with the authority of real police officers. I have seen many, many times that the local police had to get back-up from the state police, at a local police officers salary why are they being paid when they can't even do their jobs without the help of the state police. The Fleecing of America continues.

Amell's Golden Nugget Bar!

I know this for a fact, that Roger and Randy Amell were busted for having 10 lbs of marijuanna shipped UPS to the Golden Nugget which both brothers owned. This was a bar across from Sunmount which used to be called Sunmount Bar and Grill which was owned by Sonny Sorawski. My problem is that Roger Amell is now the town supervisor, and I wish people can explain how a felon can be a town supervisor? When you are a felon, you are stripped from voting, owning any firearm, holding public office, etc.

I emphatically deny those allegations and wish you would get a clue.

To the naive Tupper Laker,

I seriously pondered whether I wanted to answer your post about me and the other accused individuals and after awhile I felt I must so you knew that I am not as naive as you obviously are. First off I emphatically DENY the allegations of me being a drug dealer or even user for that fact and I can go one further as I don't even drink anymore. Second of all, do you actually believe that after a year long extensive investigation between the Tupper Lake Police Department and The Franklin County Drug Task Force that they were only to come up with three alleged pill sharers/dealers/users, an alleged dealer/user of cocaine, and an alleged dealer/user of marijuana? I seriously doubt that Tupper Lakes drug problem is that small and isolated and that there are other real dealers with money and power in this small town that seem to slip through the cracks of justice while the police make deals with narcs to entrap the small fish so to say to make it look like the war on drugs is being won. I am not a person who just moved into Tupper Lake so I know d**n well what I am talking about in that drugs have been around here for years and I bet if the police went door to door with search warrants to everyones house the arrests would be of a megatude of proportion. I really get burnt when people link me to a drug dealer because I am the farthest thing to one but yet remember when two guys owned a bar on Park Street in the 1980's and they had 10 pounds of marijuana delivered to the bar from UPS. Now that I would call a drug bust not the supposed drug bust they conducted this year.

Mr or Mrs. Naive,

I must say you are not the sharpest knife in the kitchen drawer are you? While I must emphatically DENY the allegations against me, I feel compelled to comment on your report about the five arrested suspects in Tupperville.

I really can't believe that you are that naive to believe that after a year long joint investigation between the Tupper Lake Police Department and The Franklin County Drug Task Force that they only came up with a few SUPPOSED prescription pill sellers/sharers, an accused marijuana user/dealer, and an accused cocaine/marijuana dealer/user.

I bet there was alot more drug activity going on in the un-quiet town of Tupperville than the reported arrested individuals, but they were either known to certain individuals in power, had excessive amounts of money, or were above the laws of Tupper Lake.

I can quote a nice bust back when a bar owner(s) had 10 lbs of marijuana shipped UPS near the Sunmount facility. I can't believe the hypocrisy in the town of Tupper Lake, well actually I can as I have lived here my entire life.

POSTED: July 9, 2008 Adirondack Daily Enterprise

"Five arrested on felony drug charges"

TUPPER LAKE - Village police, with the help of the Franklin County Narcotics Task Force, arrested five village residents Tuesday on various felony drug sale charges.

Cindy Patterson, 39, and James Lavair, 37, were charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a class C felony, and Penny Lanthier, 41, and Edward Mitchell, 28, were charged with criminal sale of a fourth substance in the third degree, a class B felony. Justin LaFlamme, 25, was charged with criminal sale of marijuana in the third degree, a class E felony.

"The arrests ended a year-long investigation by the police department and the task force, which involved the possession and sale of various amounts of marijuana, cocaine and prescription medication, including oxycodone and hydrocodone," village police said in a press release.

Sgt. Eric Proulx said no more arrests are expected in conjunction with the investigation at this time. No drugs were seized in the course of the arrests yesterday.

Patterson, Lanthier and Lavair, who had been arrested on warrants issued by the village court, were all arraigned in village court and remanded to Franklin County Jail in lieu of bail which was set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond for Patterson and $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond for Lanthier and Lavair. Mitchell and LaFlamme, who were arrested on grand jury indictments, were remanded to Franklin County Jail without bail, pending arraignment in county Superior Court.
