TURBO TAX ripoff ON BUYING TURBO TAX PROGRAM NATIONWIDE
I bought a Turbo Tax program, and after completing my taxes it says I now need to pay to efile it. I paid $39.95 for the program and now i must pay $20 to E-file it, plus $15 for state. I decided to return it and get a refund instead. it stated on box if not satisfyed to return for full refund. when i returned it to Wal-Mart they said it was Turbo tax policy to have consumer return it by mail to Turbo_tax. it cost $4.95 by priority mail to send it there. This is a rip-off in my books.

You can't have earned more than $50,000 a year Adjusted Gross Income
So that eliminates a lot of people from using it for free.

Does the IRS help you go over your taxes to make sure you made no errors (nope, they dont, in fact they hope you make errors so they can come after you later on).
IRs free efile, yet no way of making sure you've done it right.
You still have to do the taxes yourself.
And the OP still could have just mailed them in, costing him the cost of an envelope and one stamp.

yes you can Efile for free. go to irs.gov. and you will see many companies offering efile for free. they are paid by the gov to do this. and they also check your forms as you do your taxes. Geeeeeez do you own part ot turbo tax or do you work for em????////a rip-off is a rip off, so check things out before you rebut something. The program is what? $29 on sale? you pay what? $30 more to Efile?
That's still a hella lot cheaper than if you paid someone to do it, or heaven forbid, you could have done it on your own, but not have anyone check for mistakes (meaning if you did make a mistake, you'd be paying the fines, where TT guarantees against that with a money back offer).
For what TT offers, you are getting a DEAL. YOU know you could just MAIL your forms in (oh GEE, what a concept) and it would have costed you the price of ONE STAMP and a 12 cent evenlope.
Jeez grow up. The program wasn't a rip off; you were jsut being a cheapskate.
