Turbo Tax Tiffany Pohl Intuit Turbo Tax Refused to refund services not rendered Fort Lauderdale Florida
I used Turbo Tax last year to do my simple Taxes for free. I had to pay IRS $75 so that check was sent directly to the IRS. This year I went online and went into their website to do my taxes again with them. They have a few options, I chose the free one. Again, simple taxes, no deductions or anything fancy. After going through maybe 20-30 minutes of Q&A's filing my taxes it came to the end with them telling me my refund will be $1009. But I would have to pay $29.99 to recieve it & for them to send to IRS. I know I was in the free section of there website, so, anyway I gave in and decided to give them my credit card information. No sooner they processed my Mastercard and files with IRS, I get a responce back from IRS stating my filing was rejected. I tried for 2 days to get in touch with Turbo Tax, they did not return my emailes and there were no phone numbers directly to them. When I did get through a woman by the name of Tiffany Pohl said that I can not get refunded my $29.99 because of something plus. I told her I was fileing under the free service but she insisted that I filed under the plus feature. I told her that it took 3 seconds for them to get paid from my debit card and 4 minutes to be rejected from the IRS. Please refund my money. She said she was online with her supervisor and she said she can't refund my money back. Then she had the gaul to say too bad. I would never recomend Turbo Tax to anyone. They are ripoffs. I told Tiffany that I am a Vietnam Vet and I am not rich, that I need my money back. She insisted I touched the plus button. I went back to the site to see wtf she was talking about and I did not see any plus options. For $29.99 they are going to make me go to war with them. Pitiful company. Don't use Turbo tax.

I have used Turbo Tax since 1996. Normally I buy the Home and Business Program. Turbo Tax has allowed me to file up to 5 federal tax returns to the IRS and never charged me to file my Tax Return to the IRS. They also allow one free State return dowwnload , however to file the state return it cost 19.95. If I am getting a refund I always do it by direct deposit to my bank - again no charge and it normal takes 7 to 10 days to get the refund deposited into my bank. But they do have an option for an instant return, it seems to work the same as H & R Block instant refund. It is actually a tax refund advance and there is a fee for that service. Or when you file your state return it gives you the option of having them deduct the fee from your refund and that can cost you approx 29 to 49 on top of the 19.95.
But if you file the free simply turbo tax online and you are in a state that does not have state tax (like Florida) and you opt to have your refund direct deposited or the old fashion way of having them amil you a check, they do not charge you.

Also, you normally get an acceptance by Turbo tax in just a few minutes if everything is o=OK However the acceptance by the IRS can take a few hours up to the nex day before your the the IRS acceptance. Turbo tax may accept it but the IRS rejects it because IRS is the only party that knows if the socail secrity number, name, or birthdate do not match or if the W2's or 1099 do not matchh up.
So I do not agree with your opinion of the Turbo Tax Program. However I do agree that their customer service can be improved on.
