Complaint Review: Turtle Wax Inc

The following is the complaint I filed. I had to constantly call for 6 weeks, before anyone responded. Their claims adjustor after my constant calling contacted me. She could not find an adjustor to examine the car so she took my photos showed it to someone on the office and he reported it could be buffed out.  They offered me $160.00 and reported I could sue Turtle Wax.  Both body shops report a buffing will not do it.  The following is from my letter:

"Per  instructions, enclosed is the defective product, , repair estimates, photos and purchase receipt. I purchased your product from Walmart on 12/19/2017. On 12/20/17, I applied the product per your product instructions today on my 2007 Mazda Miata. I waited for it to dry and instead of using my buffer, I hand rubbed the product off. There were significant scratches in the clear coat. The enclosed photos show white scratch line. They are the reflection from the neon shop light in my garage. Even without the shop light, the scratches are notable.

I applied your product to the hood, left quarter panel above the wheel, the rear trunk lid and the rear upper bumper. The car has always been garaged and if outside kept with a tarp. It has 45,000 miles on it.

The product is Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound and the number is 50277 T-415  11461.. I used the Swirl and Scratch products to try and buff out the scratches. I do not have receipts for those items. They were previously purchased.

I purchased the item from Walmart on 12/19/2017. I used the product on 12/20/17. I called and filed a complaint on 12/20/2017. I was instructed that I would receive an email with claim form.  Again I called on 12/26/17 and was toild it was elevated to a supervisor. No response so on 01/05/2018, I called again, the representative reported she would contact the Quality Control Dept. of Turtle Wax for a response. I realize we were in the holidays, however, I am disappouint4e4d that no one has contacted me. I have called numerous times. Today I called the corporate office and was given Ms XXXX XXXX.This letter and estimates are forwarded to her.

Since 12/20/2018 I have been waiting for the claim form and there has been no response. I now plan to stop by the Walmart store and file a small claims action for the repair. "
