I recently ordered 2 Texas Map turtles for over $200. I received the turtles yesterday, and do not believe they are Texas Map turtles. I believe they may be Mississippi Map turtles due to the black tipped knobbing on their shell. Texas map turtles do not have the characteristic black-tipped knobbing. I have tried calling the store, but the employee answering the phone has been quite rude and unhelpful. He states that he has no phone number for the owners of turtle shack or turtle sale. I find it hard to believe that someone who works at your store cannot contact a higher level of management. He simply states to just send an email, and wait indefinitely for a response. I feel ripped off and scammed. Mississippi maps are about 10 times less expensive and grow larger than the Texas Map turtle.
