I ordered a DVD set of The Beatles Cartoons for about $50 in early July. On July 11, 2007 I was sent an e-mail indicating my order has been processed (in other words, they just ripped me off) and was now being sent to their "fulfillment" (take the money and run) department to be completed and shipped. The order was to be shipped on 7/15 (a Sunday which should have been a red flag) with tracking information sent to me on Monday 7/16. Delivery was to be between 7/25 - 7/28.
On 7/19 I received another e-mail indicating my order had been shipped along with the tracking number and tracking website.

Well, 7/28 came and went with no order being received. I sent 2 follow-up "friendly" e-mails with no response. I also checked with the tracking web site but aside from indicating something had been shipped, there was no info or reply. I smelled rip-off and then stumbled upon this web site tonite. I wish I had done so before. This company is a TOTAL rip-off joint and I intend to send them a rather "un-friendly" e-mail after submitting this.

Received Order

Well, my order finally arrived today. The packaging was dated with a date of July 19, 2007 so it took about 3 weeks to get here once it was shipped from Canada. Accordingly, it wasn't the fault of TVBoxSet that the order arrived so late.
The Beatles cartoons themselves play just fine. The quality could be a bit better, but it's hard to expect that out of a TV show from the 60's. I also happened to receive my credit card bill today and I was charged exactly what I was told I would be.

The biggest gripe I have is that there was absolutely no response from TVBoxSet.com when I sent them e-mails to their customer service department after having had not received my order (and then reading what I saw on Ripoff.com). I sent 3 separate e-mails with no response. It was not until I posted my initial Ripoff.com report that I received an e-mail in return indicating that they would do a follow-up check with the postal service.

But...bottom line is that I received my DVD's and that they play fine. The delay in shipping was NOT the fault of TVBoxSet.com and I was not charged any more than stated.
