Complaint Review: Tvdvd World - Allmyfavoriteshows.com

I ordered Sue Thomas F.B. eye the complete series on tvdvdworld.tv I actually accessed the site at allmyfavoriteshows.com. The cost was $99.99 and $21.59 Shipping.

I ordered the DVD's on March 6th and received confirmation of my order and a promise that I'd receive my DVD's by the 20th. It seemed like a long time but I was willing to wait since the DVD's were not available anywhere else.

As time passed I rec'd an update from the Canadian Post office explaining my order was received at the Montreal Post Office on March 13th and that I would have more updates.

I hadn't received any updates by the 20th so I called 1 800 787-1219. I spoke to someone at the call center who said it was normal and I would receive my order soon.
On the 25th I still had no update. I called again and was told that the promise e-mailed to me was that I'd have the package by the 27th. I read back, word for word the e-mail I was sent. She told me it would be there on the 27th.

The DVD-R's arrived on the 27th. The cases were cracked and in pieces so I was a bit upset. I then tried to play one of the disks. The show was recorded off a Tivo (there are even Tivo menus). The sound and the picture don't even match up. I had no idea I was paying for pirated DVD's.

I sent 3 e-mails over this process and none were responded to.

They have a return policy but I'm sure if I sent them back I'd have no DVD's or money.

I purchased the DVD's for my Mother-in-law's birthday party which is tomorrow. I have no time to get a new gift, so I'm stuck giving her pirated movies or nothing.
I have filed a report with the Federal Trade Commission and Canada's anti fraud hotline.
