I just wanted to let you know about an expreience that I have just had.

I bought three sets of the Little House on the Prairie some years ago and my kids loved them so much I wanted to get the whole set. I went onto EBay to buy the Little House On The Prairie dvd's. There was a sponsored link to TVDVDStore.net which I went to.

They offered the full set 56 dvd's in total of the above dvd's at quite a resonable price. I thought that because EBay had sponsored this compnay that it was legitamate.

I bought a set for myself and a set for a friend. The total cost was well over $300 dollars. The company make you think that they are in the US but when I received the dvd's they came from China and any returns go to Canada. Go figure that.

They are of very poor quality and obviously pirated. Some of the discs do not work at all. Some work but are very jumpy and the colour is very faint. They come is plastic video cases that are broken and each disc is in a paper sleave. Nothing like the ones that I purchased a few years ago. I was quite shocked when I saw them.

EBay and Amazon both sponsor this company. There are a number of other web sites that sell dvd's that all seem to be from the same place.

I am very upset that this has happened not just to me but to many other people who trusted this company. I wanted to make you aware of what many people have experience at the hands of these criminals. And hope there is some way to stop them and let other people know.

In reply to a letter from another customer I did receive an address to return the DVD's and they said they will give me a full refund. Who knows if this will happen . The letter is below.

getting a refund from this company

I would just like to know from the original author if she was able to use that address in Canada to get a refund of the merchandise.
I too am a customer who got ripped off from these people at the tvdvdstore.net and I am trying to get the detailed return address and instructions from them to get my refund but they just keep sending me the same email over and over again stating that the item has been shipped.

The quality of their merchandise is very poor. It comes in broken old VHS cassette tape boxes, shipped from China.

I hope to hear from you on whether or not you got your refund.

Thanks

On the bottom of their FAQ it says:

"Some of these DVD's haven't even been released yet. How is it possible that you sell them?
There is a section of the American copyright law known as "The Berne Act" that Clearly states: films unreleased in the United States, including original versions of films altered and/or edited for release in the United States, are NOT protected by American copyright; thus, they are considered public domain. The entire purpose of our website is to provide otherwise unavailable films or television shows to the serious collector."

That shows the place is playing with laws they do not understand.
