In June, 2007, I purchased an instructional CD on line re eBay selling for a small fee (about $5) and paid for it with my VISA. A few months later, I noticed a $49.90 charge from UT on my VISA statement. This did not cause concerns since I was in UT in Oct, and made some purchases of about that amount.

Several months later however, I noticed the same charge on my statement. I contacted my card company, and asked why I was getting a repeat charge. They then connected me with TW Eauction who claimed that when I signed up for the CD with them, I automatically agreed to a monthly internet service for $49.90/mo.

TW Eauction never told me about the service when I purchased the CD, they never told me I was getting it, nor did I want or use it. They agreed to credit me back three months of payment (actually two, because they were billing me for a month in advance), but would not return the prior five months payment that I did not authorize. So I am still out approximately $250 from this fraudulent transaction.
