Complaint Review: Twain Estates

My car was tagged for towing on Sunday 10/8/2006 for having expired tags... the warning on the tag was it would be towed on 10/10/06 if my tags weren't updated... these tags were from the previous month of september.

I had sent money away for my car to be registered but hadn't recieved the tags back.

I called the front office managers office and told the agent sarah what my situation was. She said that my car would be fine until at least next sunday and to keep them updated on my tag situation.

i go outside to use my car on 10/9/2006 and my car is missing... i call the towing company that was indicated on the tag and they confirmed they had my car.

***Towed 1 day earlier than previously warned about, even if i hadn't gotten clearance from the front office to park there***

On 8am 10/10/06 go to talk to apartment manager. She says i have no tags so it could be towed. She offered an excuse that parking enforcement took 8 cars that night and that the 10/10/06 towing date was just as a courtesy... When i explained that i had called and talked to her agent she said.. "well sarah didn't tell me anything so i can't do anything about it"

Management is unwilling to help me out in this situation and i'm know stuck paying a $200 towing/impound fee...

For the most part this is a decent property to live at but i can no longer recommend it to anyone... Please stay away from twain estates
