Twistbox Entertainment sells games for mobile phones with the hook that if you are one of the winners of the game, you will receive an advertised prize. When you are the winner of a game, you go to their website and claim your prize and you receive an e-mail from the company telling you by when your prize will be received (around 6 weeks after you claim the prize).

I have purchased all four of the Twistbox "Play for Prizes" games that are avaliable for my Sprint phone (the games were puchased thought the Sprint website). I have spent a lot of times playing these games and have won numerous prizes.

While I have received some of my prizes without problem, most have not arrived by the promised date and I have had to e-mail the company and complain, which has sometimes resulted in my prize being sent out.

Twistbox Entertainment is currently past due on sending me four of the prizes that I have won ($50 Chevron gas card, $15 Amazon gift card, $10 Target gift card, $5 Amazon gift card) and will apparentyl no longer reply to my e-mail complaints.

Regarding the $50 Chevron gas card which was due on November 10, 2008, here is a direct quote from Nadia Chelpanova in reply to my e-mail sent on November 11, 2008 complaining that I had not received my prize: "We apologize fro the delay; we are out of stock on these gift certificates. Please allow additional time for us to process and mail you the prize." A completely open-ended response with no new promise of a new date that I will receive my prize. That is the last I have heard from Twistbox, they no longer reply to my e-mail.

I feel it is important to reiterate that I had to pay for these Twistbox Entertainments games in order to win these prizes. I feel therefore that I have every right to expect to receive my prizes when they are promised. I also have other family members who have purchased some of these games and have not received their promised prizes (either on-time or at all).

Twistbox again does not meet their promise but makes progress

#10Author of original report

Thu, December 18, 2008

None of the prizes that, on December 1, Twistbox requested I allow 1-2 more weeks to arrive, arrived on December 15, as I predicted. However, I did receive an e-mail from Nadia at Twistbox asking if I would accept a $50 Amazon certificate in place of the $50 Chevron certificate. I responded that I would and received an e-mail on December 16 stating that my three (not four and I now agree with that number) outstanding prizes were being mailed out that day. I consider this progress.

Incorrect information in Twistbox Entertainment response to prizes not received

#10Author of original report

Sun, December 14, 2008

- Of the prizes that I HAVE recieved, I have often had to e-mail AFTER the due date and ask why my prize had not been received only to be told that my prize would be "resent" (and the post office IS NOT that incompetent in my experience).

- Twistbox CATEGORICALLY has NOT "always responded to my e-mail inquires". If it had, this Ripoff Report would very most likely NEVER have been filed! After being told Twistbox was out of $50 Chevron cards and I would have to "allow additional time for us to process and mail you the prize" with NO promise of a new date, I sent multiple e-mail inquires, to which I received return receipts from Nadia without ever receiving any response (this was well before the Thanksgiving holiday). ONLY THEN, did I file this Ripoff Report. The last e-mail response I recieved from Nadia was only after I sent e-mail to a DIFFERENT Twistbox e-mail address on 11/26 complaining that Nadia was not replying to my e-mails.

- In the above reference last e-mail I received from Nadia (received on Dec 1), she stated "We are currently late on schedule with some of the prizes. Please allow 1-2 more weeks for us to process and mail you the prizes." Two weeks will be up in 2 DAYS, on Monday, December 15. Will I have my prizes in the mailbox that day? If so, I will report it here, but I hope nobody holds their breath...

- I am not short on 3 prizes, I am short on 4. There may be confusion about WHICH $5 Amazon gift certificate I have not received, as I pointed out to Nadia in an e-mail (to which she never responded). Nadia e-mailed me a $5.00 Amazon code that she said was for my win on Cubis 2 For Prizes 2008-09-18 9:40 PM PDT. I had already received that code, which I MAY have mistakenly thought was for my win on FreeCell For Prizes on 2008-09-07, which I e-mailed to complain had not been received and was told would be resent. In any event, I have NOT received the $5.00 Amazon card from ONE of these two wins.

- It's funny to me that Twistbox's response lists how much I have won from Twistbox games so far since it includes at least $80.00 in prizes that are long past due (and I think must include other prizes that I haven't received yet and am not complaining about since the aren't DUE yet), but it does pretty well confirm that I have purchased EVERY Twistbox game that is available for my phone and play them a lot... I must be a good customer? I even got other people to buy the games before I stopped receiving my prizes...

- "we have not received any e-mail correspondence or calls from you since Thanksgiving Day." WOW... I am NOT someone who complains at the drop of hat in the least, but since I have paid for these games, I WILL NOT give up until I have received my prizes. I only filed this RIPOFF REPORT after I STOPPED RECEIVING RESPONSES from Twistbox to my complaints. Nadia e-mailed on December 1 to allow 1-2 more weeks to receive my prizes... I have been allowing that, what was I supposed to e-mail you again since Thanksgiving Day about? The 1-2 weeks is, as I write this, in TWO more days... will the prizes be here?

- MY PERSONAL OPINION, based on MY experience, is that Twistbox Games operates similarly to a rebate company, sending out SOME prizes and not others in hopes that the winner will forget and/or not complain... I don't accept that from rebate companies, and I won't accept it from Twistbox. I wish this wasn't true, and Twistbox can easily make is so by getting my prizes to me by their own VERY GENEROUS due date.
