In June of 2007, Kathleen Duffy, owner of Twisted Sisters Gifts, started to represent/sell my luxury baby blankets in the state of Ohio. Ms. Duffy contacted me via email on September 27,2007 to place a personal order for herself for a monogrammed blanket and designer diaper wipe case. I fulfilled the order and she received it, along with the invoice for the order on October 10, 2007. She has refused to pay for the item, at first citing that "she forgot due to being very busy", then "she had fallen down the stairs, and couldn't leave her house for 2 weeks", and finally she just stopped answering my emails. She has stolen goods from me, and given them to someone else as a gift.

Since I live in New Jersey, and she operates her thievery in Ohio, she thinks I am unable to reach her. She is obviously a liar and manipulator. Even thought the total of her theft is only $74.40, it does not make it right for her to steal from me. It makes me wonder how many other merchants she is supposed to be "representing" she has actually stolen from?

"In God We Trust, All Other Pay Cash"

#3Author of original report

In response to Ms. Duffy's rebuttal to my filing a Rip off Report on her business:

1. I have email documentation of Ms. Duffy admitting she had ordered the

monogramming on the blanket incorrectly. I had offered to correct it for her, (free of

charge), and send it back to her (free of charge). She agreed to this in October, but

never sent the blanket back to me. I have written documentation of this.

2. Ms. Duffy was told that once an item is monogrammed, it cannot be returned. It

can be exchanged for a different monogram (free of charge), but not returned. She

obviously chose to make her own rules in this case, and is sending the blanket back

to me, without paying for it.

3. Ms. Duffy was shamed into finally addressing her failure to pay for the goods she

purchased, by my filing a Ripoff Report due to her lack of payment.

4. Never once was I verbally abusive to Ms. Duffy, I only informed her of her

non-failure to pay. She had many different excuses of why she had not paid yet.

This is what made me suspicious. There was always a different reason for why her

payment had yet to be sent to me.

5. Ms. Duffy obviously believes in "the honor system", which is a great thing, but in

in business "In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash". I do not know Ms. Duffy very

well, in fact, I have only spoken to her a total of 4 times via telephone, and

have never met her in person. So, for me to "have a little more faith in my fellow

man", as she put it, is just way too risky of a way to operate a business (especially

when there is money involved).

If we all operated our businesses on "having faith in our fellow man", I think we would

be met with alot of disappointment, and unpaid invoices. :)

I am very thankful that Ripoff Report was able to reach Ms. Duffy in a way that I

could not. Thank you Ripoff Report for helping me receive some justice.

Respons to Ms. Erin McCabe

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

Tue, January 15, 2008

I am the person whom Ms Erin has been so venomous about. I am sorry to see that Ms. Erin has taken this avenue to settle things. I have had some personal issues that has precipitated everything in my life the last couple of months. At no point did I ever tell Ms. Erin that I was not going to pay for her items. I simply asked for her patience and that I would be taking care of things as soon as possible. She became verbally abusive as you can see from her letter. It was at that point that I ceased communication from her. Her anger and rage is well out of proportion to the circumstances.

I have returned her blanket due to a monogramming issue. I have also sent her $41 to cover the cost of other merchandise. These were sent priority mail with delivery confirmation # 03063030000188568319. I agree, this should have been taken care of before, but I wish Ms. Erin had just a little more faith in her fellow human beings. I thank Ms. Erin for her patience and wish her well in her endeavors.
