Two Men and a Truck, Marana, AZ-Jimmie Dasch, Ken the Manager, Sean the Driver Con Artists; Intentional Damage Marana Arizona
Called in August 9, 2016, spoke to manager Robert. Ask if TM&AT did interstate moves. He said yes and scheduled the in home estimate for 8/15/16 with Ken.
Ken came 8/15/16. Took inventory of apt. and a room of boxes and furniture from my son's apt. two doors down.
Received a email from Jimmie Dasche on the same day with estimate. She explained services. Later sent a copy of the inventory estimate which did not include my furnishings in my son's bedroom. She said no one else would be going on th truck so no need to list. I told her items she missed in my apt. Said she would add. Also I asked for packing of kitchen and all items lamps, shades, shrink wrap all furniture which is in her memo and I though her estimate was high compared to the
other estimates so she lowered it but added $1,000 for transporting the car behind the truck on a flatbed. The total was
$9450.00.
I accepted the estimate verbally and scheduled for 8/22 to pack all day and 8/23 to load until finished. Packing day was only 3-1/2 hours and was only 1/3 finished. I called the Manager Robert and he let the movers go home. Nothing was packed propertly. On loading day the 8/23 they showed up at 11:30 am unbeknowst to be they had rented a Penske Truck and parked it behind the building. I never agreed to nor knew about the bait and switch of trucks with no DOT ID # on it or their logo until 4-5PM when I had to leave for the hotel.
Two men were called in to help, there were no boxes to pack lamps and shades, mattress and box springs not covered,
items just put in the truck with no protection. High end furniture from Thomasville, Baers, Lexington and expensive vases and artwork from designer shops. My last walk through found end table and lamp and shoes on backs of two doors and
the hall closet nothing taken out, vacumn, buckets, brooms, accessores, iron, etc. I had to leave so I signed one sheet of inventory because there was no contract for my car. There was no contract, order for service, any papers filled out correctly and so I did not sign except for the value of $50,000 for my car and furnishings. The Penske bill of lading I did not know what it was so I called Jimmie Dasche and she said they had $50,000 of insurance and if anything was damaged it would be replaced with an article of equal or greater value or repaired. She said the deductible was included.
I signed an incomplete inventory sheet because of my car but did not have time to add all the items not put on the inventory list. That was on the 23rd.
My son and I left the 24th and got to Florida on the 28th to a hotel. A hurricane came to Tampa and I called Robert and told him not to let the driver come (which I was suspicious of and ask for another driver) for delivery and delay the delay the delivery either the 6th or the 9-10 of August, and paid the $50.00/day for storage in the truck setting at the Marana warehouse (supposedly).
Sean arrived on the 9th and left the bed and a few items. The bed was badly damaged down to the metal of the bed.
He took my car off the truck and drove 6 miles in my car to pick up a mover in Clearwater to help him because I took
the odometer reading when the car was loaded on the truck and when he parked it in my space. In actuality, he stole my car and picked up his friend and did not ask.
They would not take the boxes back, were rude and nasty (I am 76 and tried to unpack and not pay attention to the furniture until the next and called the manager Rober because three vases were smashed, all of the bedroom furniture furniture damaged, glue put into the knob holes of the armoire, matttress and box springs dragged across the parking lot with no protection on it, lamp and two shades broken, four dining chairs 3 years old like knew damaged, glass to sofa table chipped, but the worst of all my hand made oriental asian buffet had drawings and weird markings all over it from an africian american face to many other designs on the doors, top, sides, etc. I sent three pages of damages to their
insurance company and they want to settle for $3500.00. The chairs need to be repaced and are (2) at $359.00 and (2) at $279.00. They allowed $400.00 that they could be fixed. One leg of one chair is smashed. The TV stand he brought in and they put it back on the truck, It cost $279.99 and was used a couple of months and stored and they want to give me
$110.00 and he stole it. They want to pay me nothing for everything they left in the hall coset and nothing for the buffet that was vandalism. They charged my cc $9850,00 and I am fighting that. I was never in contact with then like the email
said and two large vases smashed also. This was nothing but a scam on a senior citizen whom they knew they could get away with and switched trucks with no DOT logo or ID #. This Sean and Robert and the entire Marana office are con artists and I plan to file a report with the Attorney General of Tucson.
