TwoPenny Rental promotes themselves as "the 48 hour placement specialists". In fact, they place tenants, steal the security deposit and first months rent, and disappear. They then refuse to return phone calls and e-mails. Although the evidence to support the following claim is mostly circumstantial-- they are said to actually create physical damage to properties in order to rack up clean-up fees. They fail to provide a verifiable business address, and move from one property owner to the next-- eluding civil action.

Here is the history behind this property:

Once TwoPenny Rentals acquired the property, the tenant that had already been in place had vacated - or been evicted - by the owner and his possible last management company. Within days of us acquiring the property for management, the property was broken into SEVERAL times by either the former tenant or others - taking the remainder of the belonging that was left behind. When they did this, they broke door locks and frames. They then also graffitied the walls before they left - no doubt retaliation for trying to lock them out from their belongings.

After we cleaned the entire place up, painted the walls, where they had been marked up, and taken everything to the dump - the property was then broken into AGAIN - by the BALTIMORE CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT. The happened to be looking for the previous tenant - accusing him of carrying child pornography, and attempted murder, amongst other things.

After dealing with the police in this matter - and possibly having the property sealed for 30 days due to a police investigation, we were able to move forward and continue with tenant placement.

The first gentlemen that came and placed a deposit on the property happened to see the police "kick-in" and notice that was left- and for some reason never contacted us again until a month later - when they had nowhere else to go and decided they had to move in there.

Being that those tenants hadn't called us in over 14 days, we placed the property back on the market, found new tenants, and got them placed - for a rent well over what the owner expected.

During this time we also collected rent at the owner's other unit, and mailed it to him successfully.

The other issues stated by the owner were minor at best "a dryer wasn't working"

Our business address has always been clearly listed and available for owners.

Our office address is:

1422 E. Joppa Road - LL1, Baltimore, MD 21286

Our mailing address is:

P.O. Box 42633 Baltimore, MD 21284

We even had to change our phone numbers (fax and voice) to dedicated fiber optic lines to ensure that everyoe could always contact us and leave voicemails.

Those numbers are as follows:

Voice: 410-665-2629
Fax: 410-665-2641

As of this post - I have emailed the owner multiple times, once even threatening to repost on here - with no response.

Lastly - everyone should look negatively on a person that wastes his time creating negative posts about a company based on "circumstantial evidence" - that's right - look closely at the post and you'll see where he states that.
