After moving into another house and having contacted the company and transferred the service we did not recieve a bill for several months. When we finally did recieve a bill it stated that we need to do a change of address. That had already been done, but we did it again. The amount of the bill was almost 300.00. Not being able to pay the whole amount, I sent them a check for what it said were the several previous months balance due. One month later my gas service was cut off.

When I spoke to a billing representative I was told that I hadn't paid my past due balance of approximately 100.00. TXU did recieve the check I sent but said that I didn't pay the complete balance. What I don't understand is that barely a month after I paid more than half of the only bill I recieved since moving into my current house my service was cut off. You would think it would have been cut off a few months earlier when the bill hadn't paid for a few months. Instead, they cut it off a month after I paid for all the previous months except for the most recent one.

The billing rep. also said that they sent me a termination notice. I never recieved that though. Now I have to pay a deposit along with another fee to have my sevice restored. Before any of this, I had never been late on a payment.
