I signed like an idiot to www-type-at-home.com and payed $49. As soon as i saw what information they had on their website i was pissed. And for this i payed $49? When i contacted them about my refund, Alan Beck sent me email that he "request" me to reconsider the Programm. He sent me that email twice, ignoring that i wrote him to cancel Membership.

People! Is this right that Alan Beck or Billy Briggs live their lives ripping us. Let's do something. I am thinking about contacting FoxNews channel or some another news channel and i want to ask them to tell all country not to do the same mistake we all did here. May be after this police or FBI will be interested in those people after all.

Hi there I was contacted by Typerswanted.com, my first instent was to jump right in. but i knew i had to consult a second opinion so i talked to my hubby and he'd refused me out of the idea. It sounds like a really good deal to make monies at home, since i'm going to have my second kid pretty soon. but i was a little hessitant when i've read "this is not a rip off".
so i was wonderying if Typerswanted.com could be another Con's artist at work too?

Type-At-Home Scam

#4UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sat, September 01, 2007

I was also ripped off by Billy Briggs "Type-At-Home scam. Repeated requests for a refund have either been ignored totally or I have been given promises that they will "get back in touch" with me.

I am disabled and on a very fixed income, with a college-age son to support. I could not afford to be ripped off this way. I was trying to earn money to help my older son, my granddaughter, my son in college, & myself. Instead, I got ripped off.

I have sent them several requests for a refund. Today, I sent a demand for a refund. If my money isn't refunded to me today in my PayPal account, I am starting a class action suit against them. I have already found an attorney. He will do this without any pay unless we win. (And we will!) If you are interested in joining my class action lawsuit against Billy Briggs, Type-At-Home, please reply to me.

If you are not interested in joining me in this class action lawsuit, I have listed every government agency for you to report this terrible company to.

These are the agencies to contact:
Small Business Administration - U.S. government organization for aiding small business owners.
Federal Trade Commission - Watchdog arm of the U.S. government for consumer issues.
Better Business Bureau - Reporting mechanisms for fraudulent or unscrupulous businesses.
U.S. Department of Justice - DOJ's website for educating the public on Internet fraud.
Federal Bureau of Investigation - The FBI's advice for avoiding Internet business fraud.
Fraud.org - National Internet Fraud Watch Information Center.
U.S. State Department - Overview of typical business scams both inside and outside the U.S.
IC3.gov - The Internet Crime Complaint Center receives, develops and refers complaints of cyber-crime.
Consumer.gov - FTC portal for research in comsumer issues.
On Guard Online - Practical tips to help you understand computer security and guard against Internet fraud.
CommerceNet - Organization dedicated to enabling safe business practices on the Internet.
Library of Congress - Business Reference Services provides resources for business practices on the Internet.
Federal Citizen Information Center - Database of scam, fraud and recall resources.
Firstgov.gov - Portal for research in government databases for all business practice information.
Office of the Inspector General - Fraud prevention and detection resources and reporting.

After being foolishly ripped off, I started doing a lot of research. (When you're disabled and cannot work outside of your home, you have a lot of time on your hands. ) I have found 2 reputable online companies to join. One of them is totally free to join. I know this because I did join. They will never ask you for a dime. Their support system is awesome! The other does cost $50 to join, but it is a very reputable company. If anyone is interested in either of these, also please contact me & I will send you the links. No pressure! That is just an offer to help you since I probably have more time on my hand than you do.

All my best!

Javier,

Since you live in the San Diego area, have you ever visited the physical address they display in Encinitas on their website to see if it is a legitimate business, or is it just a facade?
