Complaint Review: U-Hau - Dave Shaw & Bruce Gates

On 5-14-03 I went to U-Haul in Monroe, Mi. to resurve a truck going one way.

The manager of the store took care of us. I made it very clear to him when I wanted the truck.

He said he would call us the day before we picked up the truck to let us know that it was in.

No call on Saturday the day before we were to get the truck. Sunday I called and was told that the truck was resurverd for 6-05-03.

The lady said she would have a truck in that afternoon at 1:00 P.M. and we could have that one. Went to get that truck, none there.

Called a man to whom I could complaine to. He was not there so another lady took my complaint. Said he would call in 2 days.

Two weeks later I called and talked to the man I wanted to talk to in the first place. He told me it was my fault that I did not get the truck.

He said I was the one who signed the contract and that the company offered me 4 other trucks. Not true. He was going to do nothing about what had happened to us.

We had to put what we could in our car and take it to Virginia. The new things I had ordered for the Va. house is still setting in the house in Michigan. Along with the other things we were going to take.

The company that was going to vist us in Va. could not come because I had no where for them to sleep.

My daughter who is moving to Mi. from another state can not put her things in the Mi. house because of no room for her things.

We will not have to rent a storage space of the daughters things.
The grand children will not have a house to live in with their personl items.

I just want to thank U-HAUL for all that they did for us. Never ever will I rent anything from U-HAUL again.
