In April of 2016, I was notified that I would recieve a new card, as my old card expired at the end of that month.

It is now July 1, 2016, and I was just told that my card is closed, and that this service is no longer being provided.

They stated they sent out a letter in April, stating this was going to happen, but they did not. They sent me a new card, without mention of this closure. Now, I am late with my rent, by credit card payments and no food. I am on Social Security Disability, so this means a lot to me. This company needs to be investigated, and sued. This is all I have to say for right now, as I am boiling mad.

Their Right

It is their right to close the account for whatever reason they wish, especially if they think there is some type of liability issue here.  Typical reasons would be fraud and massive overdraft fees or if you have some sort of other credit account with them and they exercised their right of offset if you were late making payments.

There is something missing in this report.  You talk about getting a new card in April and then finding out today(July) that your account was closed.  So what happened in this three month period?

Why with it just being the first of the Month and you just finding out today are you already being evicted, already late on credit card payments and have no food?

What did they say was going to happen with the money in your account?

Also, if you are on SSDI the money doesn't even get deposited until the 2nd-4th Wed depending on your Birthdate, meaning that even though today is the first you are not even going to get July's payment until at least the 13th.
