Complaint Review: U.S. Bank

U.S. Bank Rips Off Consumers the business that doesnt give a dam tricked and lied to us Salt Lake City Utah

US Bank has chrged me over $200 in overdraft charges for my checking account being $15 overdrawn. The kicker in this is that I have a savings account for the purpose of overdraft protection. It had funds that should have covered the $15.

US Bank also has a terrible practice of approving debit card transactions then charging $32 for each approved transaction. If there isn't money there. To be more fair they should deny the charges, not approve them then charge $32 dollars to their loyal customers.

I think US Bank is dishonest and unfair in its practices and everyone should avoid doing business with them. US Bank believes that it is so big it does not have to take care of the little guy. Well it is the little guy that can put them out of business.

Us bank is taking the people who dont have padded
bank accounts to the cleaner. They held my deposit and charged me a 32.00 a trans but when i deposited my check they had no problem giving
me cash back but then did not let any checks go threw. they also had no problem taking there $32.00 fee out of my money they where holding.
They never used to do banking this way.

US Bank Corrects Error

#3Author of original report

Sat, February 15, 2003

Amazingly the same issues that US Bank's customer service were so rude about and said couldn't be fixed, were corrected by a real individual at the branch.

So while I still disagree with their policies of processing the largest checks first so they can stack up the bank charges, approving debit card charges then charging $32 for each one, I have to post a correction to this report as part of this issue was resolved today.
