us bank and the state had a deal going that unemployment benefits would be direct deposited into accounts at us banks. Us bank issued bank cards to the unemployment recipients. This was the only way u could receive the benefits. Big monopoly. It was a US bank reliacard. The bank allowed me to overdraw my account every week by $50 which they charged me overdraft fee of$30. Week after week I was allowed to do this. But when my benefits got messed up one week,I was issued a check. I took it to us bank to cash were I was told I didn't have an account and it would cost me $5 to cash!! My mother sent me a personal check from her us bank account. I went In to us bank and they charged me $5 to cash it because I didn't have a  account there. Even though my mother did. If I was allowed to overdraw my unemployment benefits every week and pay the overdraft fee how can they say I don't have an account?us bank is the one giving me the money and charging me the overdraft fees!! Class action.

YOU were the one who overdrafted the account because YOU don't keep written records, as in a check register, and maintain an on-going running balance!  Don't blame the bank or the state.  If you're an adult enough to have a job, you're an adult enough to properly manage a checking account!  The bank isn't your "hand holder" because they can see you're an adult.  If you don't like overdraft fees, then keep a written record of all your transactions and don't spend more than the on-going running balance!
