I purchased a U.S. Cellular cell phone about 5 or 6 years ago.

I got the most expensive plan with a 2 year contract -- it had nationwide coverage...I was told that was all I would have to pay every month no matter where I was, as long as I didn't go over my minutes.

I later went to Colorado and was involved in a car accident.  I had to use my cell phone to make arrangements to get the car repaired etc.

I repeatedly called U.S. Cellular to request an accounting of my minutes.  They kept telling me "don't worry you aren't over".

Then 2 months later I got a bill in the mail for $700.   They claimed I was WAY over my minutes and that roaming charged were also applied.

They never told me what roaming was.  I had no idea there would be extra charges for this.  (This was the first cell phone I had ever had.)

Since then I have refused to pay this bill and they canceled my contract and have to this day continued to say I owe them all this money.  Today their collection agency called me at work harassing me.  I told them today I will NEVER EVER pay this because they lied to me.  I told them to take me to court.

This is who U.S. Cellular is -- and I will NEVER as long as I live ever do business with these lying thieves again.  I had a very expensive monthly fee already and they were just trying to further rip me off with all the extra charges.  I hope they go out of business because they should be behind bars.
