Complaint Review: UBID

Two weeks ago I bidded on 4 items, which came over 2000.00. I did my homework and waited until the best optimuim Bids could have been made, and did really well on pricing.

Well 5 days later after seeing the same "In Process" On my screen I worte an email about each seperate bid, and asked for an explantion. What I got back, was 4 Canned Replies, 2 of which was the same exact wording, with diffent names on the bottom of the E-Mail, and basically they all said was, to wait a couple of more days while they continue to process.

I wated two more days, telephoned contacted customer care, who said, wow these orders are not in system, That is strange? They transfered me to credit, and after a 30 minute wait there, I was told I would have to Re-Bid on the items, beacuse they could not fix the problem!!! Yikes.

I went ahead and re-bid on the items, and low and behold, THE only item that is actually setup for shipping, was the one I had to PAY a much higher for to win, while the others once again are IN PROCESS.

Dealing with this I watched Ubid for days and days waiting for a good bid to come up, and now after bidding on 8 items, I get 1 auction, that actually showed up in the wharhouse !!!. I also noticed, that everytime a new Auction starts, there is always a user buying up everyone of them, reguardles if there is a reserve Price on it or not, and their bid, isnt't anywehre close to winning the auction. That tells me that Ubid uses automatic Shills on their auctions, to drive up bid prices!!, And I found out if you win an auction, for a price their not happy with, you do not pass go, and go directly to "IN PROCESS", where you will stay until hell frezes over, beasuse there is no way, they are letting THAT bid go thru!

Now just recently, they pulled another trick from thier sleeve, and Most of the auctions now, are comming up with RESERVE pricing, which they did not have a lot of before, and their UBID, buy It now, LOGO, is showing up on the same auctions!

Ubid is really no longer a auction service, but more of a Billy Bob's Used, and refurbished blowout sale type of retail outlet!.

Ubid REFUSED to Honer my orinigal bids that I won, by matching prices, on my rebids, and refused to change type of shipping on the ONE item that actually made it to the wharehouse , Even though It had already been almost three weeks from my orinigal bid, ANDI had to pay a higher price for it DUE TO "IN PROCESS

I sent E-amils again and again , about these issues to them, and guess what !!! - THE SAME CANNED E-MAIL RESPONSES, which I saved all copies off.

I contacted Customer support again! Hmmm the only item we show in our system, is the one in the wharehouse!! I was told to wait and a few more days and if the other "Now Seven Won Auctions", come out of "IN PROCESS" Yeah Right!

I have been a E-Bay'er, for 5 years, and if I ever had a seller, or even buyer treat me this way, not only would negative feedback be left, but I would report it to the E-Bay Fraud Division!

Good luck, and if you decide to bid, make sure it is not TOO low, and beat most everyone out, otherwise you too WILL end up "IN PROCESS"
