UCFS made a bad loan for a device sold by a company (trusii) that turned out to be nothing but a scam and a Ponzi scheme. Device broken, won't even turn on and yet UCFS has not forgiven the loan and hasn't even managed a return phone call or email (whereas other lenders admitted their mistakes and forgave the bad loans).

UCFS's negligence and accessory to fraud

I think you failed to read or comprehend my report. The device wasn't merely defective, it was fraudulently sold by a company intentionally perpetrating a scam. And the lender was an accessory to that fraud because they failed to do their due diligence on the company, the product, and the valuation of the product.

As you wrote, this was not a cash loan; it was a loan for a product. The lender took responsibility for making sure that I received the product I paid for. And the lender made a big mistake by failing to do their due diligence.

Let me provide an analogy which I think will be clearer: if I purchased a brand new car that was supposed to go 80 mph and instead received a car that only went 50 mph and stopped turning on a month after purchase and the manufacturer turned out not to even have a repair department so that I was stuck with a non-working vehicle and a large loan, would you say it was merely a matter of a dispute with the car manufacturer? I think not.

Reasonable people would acknowledge that I didn't receive the item I had agreed to purchase and therefore that the terms of the loan had been violated. To make it even simpler, if I purchased a brand new car but then only received a toy car, would you think the lender should hold me responsible for paying the loan for an item I didn't receive?

And no, I did not receive a refund from the manufacturer because, as stated previously, the company is fraudulent.

As indicated in the initial report, other lenders have admitted negligence and forgiven loans. Moreover, even if UCFS thought they were blameless, why aren't they returning calls and emails?

If you ended up getting a loan to buy a product from a company that turned out to be a defective, the problem you have isn't with the loan company.  It's with the product you bought.  If you obtained a refund from the company for the defective product, then the loan is paid off and there is minimal to no harm.

It seems abundantly clear that this company UCFS simply facilitates you to be able to procure the item - but they in no way are related to the company you bought product from.  The terms and conditions I read from their website regarding loans seem to corroborate this, and your loan paperwork should also confirm this.

There was no mistake in the company issuing you a loan, so there would be no reason for the loan company to forgive a loan.  You only have one recourse here and that's with the manufacturer of the product, for which you have a separate complaint.
