Ugly Duckling is a ripoff. Tampa, Florida
To whom it may concern,
My fiance and myself had to get a car quick so we went to ugly duckling with a 1000.00 dollars and got a car. I have trusted alot of used car dealers because my mom use to work for some of them. the car ran pretty good ,but less than 6 months the engine blew up. It threw a rod, no warning whatsoever. It had all it scheduled maintance because I did it myself.
I went to ugly duckling to see if they would help pay for this,they said "yes we will fix it but we will charge 1300.00, and you can make payments." I told them I could get it cheaper 700.00 could you guys pay half. They said "no." Cars do not just blow rods for no reason. We just bought a new car they quoted the escort at 1400.00, I ended up paying 9000.00 dollars for a 1400.00 car. We didnt know anything about this because we never bought a car before, we thought it was a good deal, because we didnt have any credit. Young people DONOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!!!!!
